Krups XP7230 Compact Super Automatic Espresso Machine - Page 2 Questions & Answers
Hi, I have an XP7240 and recently i only half a
I can remove the bean container by pulling off the grind selector knob and removing the only screw.
Then remove the scute for the cleaning tablets. Then remove the two screws that were covered by the scute. Remove the water tank. Under the tank remove the two screws.
Then the trick where everyone seems to look for: The facade of aluminum can be moved off. Set the machine on the floor and pull hard upwards at the facade. This comes off (pull hard!) and four screw are uncovered. Remove them and pull then back housing of the machine (remove first the containers/drawers). Now the inner parts are freely accessible. Take photos and remove the components from top till bottom to get to the bad parts that need replacement. It's a lot of work but if you're handy you can get to the valve on the bottom of the machine. I have the same problem but haven't looked up the replacement part (can be expensive). Good luck!
No grinding of the beans nor not making coffe
Yes! and I hope it helps you. There is a small metal shaft that you can see when you take off the bean grinding unit alot of times with repeated use the shaft will stick from small coffee dust particals and condensation buildup which forms a sticky substance on the inner shaft! get a small pair of pliers and grip the shaft and Turn clockwise 1 full turn, this may unstick it! unplug unit for five min then try again You may want to oil the shaft with some good high grade oil! if this does not work the grinding motor may be burnt out and needs replaced! also check your settings! please rate
THANK YOU!
Krups XP 7220 makes
There is an arm that drops back into place just before the plunger drops to pack the grounds. After the espresso is pulled the plunger comes back up and the arm moves forward and swipes the pellet into the pellet container. My thought is that the arm has come out of sync or become disconnected. The sound you are hearing could be the mechanism trying to push the arm forward but snapping off.
As for disassembling, there are directions dismantling the unit on other posts here (for 7240 or 7230), but the one thing that wasn't so clear to me is that the front facade isn't secured with any screws, but rather hooks that are part of the molded construction of the facing. Once you pull up on the facade about a half an inch, it should pop off. You can see some of the six hooks in the pic below.
The coffee machine screen keeps telling us to
If you look at the water reservoir, you'll see a small black square close to the water outlet that moved around freely inside a small enclosure. That black square is a magnet that triggers a switch inside the coffee maker. When there's water in the reservoir, it is supposed to sort of float to the top of the small enclosure. When the reservoir is empty, it will drop down and disengage the internal switch. In your case, the black square doesn't 'float' anymore even when the reservoir is full.So your coffee machine is again n again telling you to fill water.Actually water is already filled. But the machine is not sensing the water.
----------
Try this procedure to resolve this issue:---
Take a small hammer with a metal head, stuck it in the water reservoir close to the black square and make sure it's 'pulled up'. The internal switch will engage and the coffee maker will detect that the reservoir is full. Of course if you run out of water now, the coffeemaker will still think the reservoir is full, so pay close attention to how much water you actually have left in the reservoir. ---------
also check one more thing that your water reservoir sits properly and not loose.Place the water reservoir and then keep is bit pressed with your hand or tell any one to press the water reservoir bit tight to its place. Then see if its working. It will work. Many a times water reservoir tank does not get properly fitted then also such messages comes up.----------
This will help.thanks.helpmech.
The machine is leaking out the bottom, whats the
From experience in your model and also other espresso machines there are many possible points that you may have the leak. The pump, boiler, volumetric dozer, water/steam valve are connected together with Teflon pipes and supports at the ends with the clips and one "o" ring. In one of this point the clip can slip out so the Teflon hose to be loose and so the leak. There are also some cases if the machine is more that 2-3 years one of the above parts to leak itself due to tearing out and it might need to be replaced.
So you need to remove first the top panel and then the side panel and work the machine with extra safety since we have power wires and with visual check to find the point of leak.
If it is just the Teflon pipe and clip slip out the secure it back again, if it one of the part you can try to tight up and if the leak insist then you need to replace it.
The machine started leaking from
I Have the same problem. I just opened the machine to analyze it... Took me a few days any many google searches to realize how to open it.
I put it to work while opened and I could notice water leaking from the water piston upper part. The one that actually moves.
I also noticed that while making a coffee the metal piece that holds the coffee inside the "coffe chamber" while making a coffee starts coming up. This causes a real mess...I assume this is a problem caused by the leaking piston.
Please let me know if you happen to find a solution...
