If you positively have gas valve relay identified and it has power going in when thermostat is calling for heat but nothing coming out I would change the control board. Hope this helps. Thanks

Bad lock-out switch

Check the transformer. Remove the thermostat face and use a voltmeter to check for 24vac between the R terminal and the C terminal. If it's not there check for power on the transformers primary and secondary sides. Replace the transformer if you have power on the primary and none on the secondary. If you don't have any on the primary you should look for a fuse or another circuit breaker.

i would just buy one off eBay or the internet as they will delivery it, granted they wont install it. hope this helped tim

Start by making sure its getting the right voltage (line and load side of the contactor) then check the capacitor/s. Let me know what you find so I can go further if I need to.

check the filter. If its dirt, clean it, put it back and switch your unit on.

It says it in the model number 12000 btus or one ton enough to cool 700 to maybe a thousand feet.

Your coils need cleaned, and change the filter too. make sure drain is not cloged also.

need make and model and do the buttons light up or turn on when plugged in?

the 'rule of thumb' is 1 ton of AC for every 600 sq feet of a well insulated space (400 sq ft if not well insulated)- for example if the space to be cooled is 1200 sq ft - and is well insulated - you would require a 2 HP unit. 1200 divided by 600 = 2

if the space was not well insulated - you would require a 3 HP unit. 1200 divided by 400 = 3

note; 1 ton of air conditioning - is sometimes referred to as 1 HP or 12000 Btu. Whether you call it 1 HP or 1 Ton or 12000 Btu - they all three mean exactly the same thing.

take this example - 2 tons of air conditioning can also be referred to as 2 HP or 24000 Btu.

fyi - it doesn't matter what 'brand' - they all work off the same principle.

You may try cleaning the evaporator filter,Also cleaning the outside coil or condensor,Simple green works good for cleaning coils and a garden hose.

Also cleaning the evaporator may help.
When unit is running properly the evaporator should feel cool and wet from top to bottom.
Last,the unit could be low on freon.

you have a short in your low voltage wires or a bad contactor coil
