Hi, Makita HR3000C hammer action not working. Changed the O ring seals, worked for five minutes, then lost hammer action again. Any ideas what may be causing the problem?

It sounds like the striker (#32) may be installed backwards. If the O-rings are on the wrong end it can't maintain a pressure pocket. Makita HR3000C Rotary Hammer Parts

Makita bhp454 overheated, not turning clockwise.

It is very common for the armature to overheat and melt down. Open it up and inspect the armature, it will be very obvious it is burnt. If it is the case, replace the brushes (#16) and the armature(#14) Makita BHP454 18V LXT Lithium Ion Cordless 1 2 Hammer Driver Drill Parts

Have a Makita 6095D drill driver that has stopped running with fully charged battery (runs sometimes, most times not. I suspect the switch has gone bad How do I replace the switch ?

Try first to look inside the motor that has much higher priority because the carbon hammerbrushes can be worn (to short)

My Makita DC1801 charger won't charge anything. It just flashes the green light even when the battery has been inserted for charging. What is wrong with the charger?

Are you sure the battery is good? If it is, then maybe the charger went to charger heaven.

Serial numbers on makita combo kit DLX2002

Serial numbers on any product are for that one and only item. That's why it's a "serial" number, each and every one has it's own individual number. The one before it and the one after it on the production line have a different number. The serial number is usually pointless unless you have a recall or something.

My Makita 6402 drill stopped working. I press the trigger and it does not make any noise at all

You will need to have someone take it a part and see where the problem lies. Start with the electrical plug, both the wall plug and inside the drill where the wire attaches to the switch. Often, the switch is the problem, but the wire itself can be bad, if the cord is worn. There is such a thing as the wire separating inside the cord. We will hope the unit is not "toast". God bless your efforts.

Makita ML902 Flashlight how to open case housing to repair

Makita ML902 - great flashlight. but I wanted to upgrade the lamp to LED, and found that the POLARITY was wrong . so i HAD to open the dern thang. the 'special tool' and 'keep in-house' conspiracy had me 'fuming' ... turns out if one were to mark the EXACT spot that the pivot occurs with a felt pen, by drilling a small (sized) hole on each side, (stop as soon as the bit is thru! the shiney material that you stop at are lamp straps) then pressing 2 stiff objects from both sides, the head pops off ! one more screw is uncovered, making it an even 4 screws holding it all together. When i opened the case up, one wire wasn't even soldered to the switch ! aargh. so - swapped polarity, re-soldered the connections, add a bit of fresh solder, re-assemble, voila! I love the 9 volt cases, upgrading everything to 12v and 16v lithium 18650 cells. these old Makita ensembles are great! saw, drill, angle drill, light...
