I cleaned my freezer and now it won't freeze

When you say "cleaned", did you defrost it? And. if so, could you have damaged the internal lining? Often the coil inside the wall of a chest freezer can fracture if hit or stabbed at during defrosting.Other than that, is the compressor running (you would hear it)? it may have overheated. If not running, see if it feels hot (siezed) or cold (no power from thermostat). If cold, put it on fast freeze and see if it kicks into life (thermostat faulty) or not (compressor fault, time for a new freezer!)Let me know how you get on!

Electricity went out & audible alarm is going

Will stop on it's own when it get cold again, but most generally have a manual alarm shut off (on back, near hinge on older models).

DOES NOT FREEZE

Hello,

The first thing I would do is to check the compressor and the condenser fan. Remove the cover on the back of the fridge and check how hot is the compressor? Is the condenser fan turning well? Also check the condenser coil under the fridge, it is very possible it needs cleaning.
If the condenser fan is not working properly then it has to be replaced.
If the condenser fan motor is fine and the cleaning did not help then the sealed system is low on Freon and in such case you need a certified technician to fix a leak and to charge the system.
Good luck in solving the problem...

My freezer stopped functioning today.

the noise you are hearing is probably the starting relay on the compressor failing and causing the overload protector to cut the power off to the compressor. Try replacing the overload and starting relay.

Only 6 months, have to defrost.

However this will take long so you use a straight screwdriver or something like a chisel to remove as much scale as possible before leave it in solutions.

The ice build up is related from the time keep the door open and the humidity that is in the air. So the time is variable. Sometimes if the door is not sealed closed the ice is build up very fast.

Ge chest freezer wiring diagram

Great question but I cannot answer it. GE makes several models of chest freezers and they are not all wired the same. My eyesight is not to good and I cannot see your freezer so I cannot answer your question. You might try our friend google and look for the make and model of your freezer with the prefix schematic.

My freezer gave the "too warm" warning twice last week. First time it started back up. Not the second time. What could be the problem?

Was it very iced up? That can cause bad temperature registration. Also turning it off for an extended period resets the electronics. Monitor it for a week, then order the beef.

I have an upright GE Freezer, and outside door panel usually says 6 or 7, to the high temp light is on, and the led screen us blank. Everything in the freezer is frozen solid. Should I be worried?

The 6 or7 may be a setting number or a degree readout, which is a little on the warm side, should be around a -10 to-15. Consult your users manual for details ,.Does not sound like an emergency, but keep monitoring it' https://www.repairclinic.com/RepairHelp/Freezer-Repair-Help This site may be of help. I have a frigidaire fridge with top freezer model

Gaskets can cause this, along with internal fans getting bad or iced over. Other answers might indicate a leak of freon.

Freezer temperature swings

the users manual does not cover this particular issue as to the temperature swing. I have seen some thermostats that are the "constant on" type that you are describing. No way of telling from the vague manual. As long as you are not storing ice cream for a long period of time, 0 degrees is usually fine for most home applications. Sorry I can not give you more info.

I have a FCM5SUCWW GE freezer and there are 2 unmarked toggle buttons/switches next to the light by the control panel. What are they for? The manual says nothing about them.

They are usually for extra ddehumidification based on the area you live in. If your freezer is working correctly, I would just leave them where they are at
