Hi. Have a scc-100 that

There is a hidden screw just above the charge jack that holds the top cover in place. Remove the plastic plug that hides the screw, unscrew the screw, and pry off the cover. My unit would not charge anymore. I think the charging electronics are poorly designed. I extracted the battery and electronics leaving only the motor, then wired the motor directly up to a 5 volt battery pack. It now works great!1_21_2012_8_04_15_pm.jpg

Can i replace battery in

Sort of, but not easily, there is a screw just above the charging plug. it is covered by a plastic plug. You can remove the plastic plug, and unscrew the screw then pry off the grey plastic top cover. The battery is soldered to the control board. you would need to unsolder it and solder in new ones. they are 3 AAA size NiMH. You would need to buy a new set preferably with solder tabs on them, and then solder them in. In my unit, the battery was not the problem, i think the control board is poorly designed, and does not properly charge or control the battery and switch. My unit would not charge and even when it did, it only would run for about 4 minutes. I took the battery and control board out and hooked it up to a 5 volt battery which I charge with a radio control hobby grade battery charger. It works really well like this, but looks kinda gangsta.

How to change baTTERIES SCC100R

The following procedure should be followed for battery removal prior to disposing of the product:

1. Make sure the clipper is unplugged from any outlets so you don't risk an electrical shock.

2. With a flat head screwdriver, gently pry the top cover from the unit. This will expose the internal circuitry compartment.

3. With a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the four screws on the

circuitry compartment top cover.

4. Locate 6 latches around the perimeter of the circuitry compartment and pry each to loosen top cover.

5. Remove cover to expose the batteries and circuitry.

6. Clip the wires connecting the batteries to the circuit board and

remove the batteries.

My Shortcut does not run. When I push the start

Wash the blade area under running hot water and then use a lubricant on the blades.

Sounds like the blades are stuck together.
