Nintendo Super NES Console - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Why does the grass turn green when spring time
During the winter and fall months, rain falls less, sun shines less, and the air is much colder. Grass gets its green color from Photosynthetic cells in blades. The more sun and nutrients the grass see the healthier it grows. As the grass sees less sun, water, and is frozen from time to time, its internal processes slow down and many cells die or become dormant. As the rain begins to fall again in the spring and the sun shines longer and stronger it becomes much easier for the blades to transfer nutrients to the entire blade and will become a more full and vibrant green again. you can see this process in action when grass is cut too short in the spring or summer months. The grass will look almost yellow because exposed grass is usually "sun blocked" by the grass just inches higher. Yet in a day or so , you will see the grass turning green again from the botton up but the tips of the grass will remain white and dead until the grass grows and the tips fall off to form the all to familiar grass blade "D
HOPE THIS EXCEEDED YOUR EXPECTATIONS :D

Super Nintendo doesn't work with new TV's.
Super NES Console: My super Nintendo gets power (red light turns on) ...
Maybe the one that is not turning on to play game is broken then. Ensure that you have a known-good game cartridge inserted before powering on the SNES console. Most older, cartridge-based game consoles don't boot without a game installed.
Does the power light to the left of the controller ports turn on when you turn on the power switch?
If not, check your power adapter and outlet for functionality and good connection.
Check that the reset switch is not stuck. Wiggle it back and forth through its range of motion a few times. If something sticky gets in there it can get jammed in the reset position, which will prevent any game from booting.
You mentioned that there is no image. Are you getting any sound from your games after waiting a few minutes with everything connected and turned on?
If you hear game sounds or music from the SNES, but see no picture and you've already (really and truly) ruled out the cabling and TV, then you might have a bad main board in the console.
If you don't get any video or sound, then it's not booting your game. You can find other recommendations about how to clean game and console connections, but usually inserting and ejecting a game 10-20 times will knock loose or grind off enough gunk to get a game to boot. Try this, and be sure to use the eject lever instead of ripping the game out to avoid console connector damage. If it's still not working, repeat with another game.
Why does nintendo super nes cycle power during play?
Hmmm I think that the acapapter is causing this problem then because the black cord on the ac adapter that hook into the console the wire is fraying or broken then and going bad on you so try using a new ac adapter too see if it makes difference or not.

- Make sure your system is hooked up correctly. This is the number one reason for a blank screen. To ensure all hookup connections are firm and correct, remove the AV cables and reinsert them with a slight twisting motion (this will help fully seat the connections). For more information about connecting the system, check the following hookup steps:
- Make sure you are using all licensed accessories with your system. Unlicensed products are not fully compatible with Nintendo systems and may not work correctly.
- Make sure the system has power. If not, go to the No Power Light instructions.
- Slide the Power Switch on the Control Deck to the OFF position. Remove the Game Pak and re-load it, pressing firmly to ensure it is locked in place. Slide the Power Switch on the Control Deck to the ON position.Important Note: Inserting the game with the Power ON may result in a blank screen. Always turn your system OFF before inserting or removing Game Paks
- There may be a problem in one of your hookup cables and not your system. Try purchasing a new connection cable (where to buy). You can also try borrowing the cable from a friend to see if it solves your problem before purchasing a new item.

Snes reset button
Well you could try buying a broken Super Nintendo console off of EBay and get the part that you need to be replaced. If you find a broken SNES console with a reset switch button that is fine then.
I have noise from the SNES games but just a black screen. How do I fix this?

One game works but others don't
Note: It is possible that the problem you have may be game play related. For example, if you cannot defeat a particular enemy, or are missing an item you need to complete an area, the problem is likely game play related and there is nothing wrong with your game. Please check our
game play help for assistance.
If the problem you are experiencing is with just one game, please follow the steps below. If the problem is with all games, please visit the troubleshooting section for the system you have, by clicking here.
- Check for Unlicensed products. Make sure that you're using only licensed products with your Nintendo system. Unlicensed products are not tested for compatibilty and may not work correctly with all games. Try playing the game without the unlicensed accessory.
- Insert the Game Pak into the system. The Game Pak label should be facing the front of the machine (or facing up if you are using an original NES).
- Make sure the Game Pak firmly clicks down into place.
- Remove all accessories to see if the Game Pak works correctly without the accessory. If the game does work correctly once the accessory is removed, then the game pak and the accessory may not be compatible. Check the game pak instruction manual.
- Check the instruction manual for the game to see if it requires any special accessories to operate (such as the Super Scope, NES Zapper, SNES Mouse, etc.).
- Do not blow into your Game Paks or systems. The moisture in your breath can corrode and contaminate the pin connectors.
If these steps do not eliminate the symptoms you're experiencing with your game, we recommend purchasing a replacement from a retailer or online auction site that carries older products. For more information,

Red light dims on Super Nintendo
I do not think on that the red power light could burn out on an SNES console but you never know.
- ake sure you are using a licensed AC Adapter (the system's power cord). The name "Nintendo" should be molded into the actual AC Adapter unit. If it says "for use with Nintendo" it may be an unlicensed product Unlicensed products are not fully compatible with Nintendo systems and may not work correctly.
- Make sure you are not using any game enhancing devices. Such devices are unlicensed and are not recommended by Nintendo, as they may not let your system function properly.
- Firmly plug the AC Adapter into the AC Adapter port on the back of the Control Deck and firmly plug the AC Adapter into the wall outlet.
- Make sure your wall outlet works. To check it, try plugging a lamp into the same outlet where your system was plugged in. Turn the lamp on the verify the outlet works. Also, make sure you are not using an outlet that is operated from a wall switch (if you do, make sure the wall switch is in the ON position).
- Slide the Power Switch on the Control Deck to the ON position.
- Check to ensure that the AC Adapter is not damaged (i.e., the dog chewed the cable). If it is damaged, you may want to purchase a replacement AC Adapter.

I am guessing that the console is just getting old then.
Other Screen Problems

We find that video problems occur most when an unlicensed RF switch is used. Make sure the name "Nintendo" is molded onto the RF switch, as opposed to "for use with Nintendo." Unlicensed products are not fully compatible with our systems and may not work correctly.
