Something is probably wrong with your D-Pad (shaped like a plus sign, used to steer). Do you have any other games where this happens? Your GBA (this is an original Game Boy Advance, right?) might be broken and need replacing. If it can't be fixed, you can get a new or used GBA/SP/Micro/1st Gen DS very cheap.

i have the instructions!! i thought i had thrown them out with the box but found them,

hold down b and d together to bring up menu. the heart is the care menu, use e to select care menu and then b and d to scroll through options. when you have an option ie feed or bath etc select by pressing e.
slide your finger from b to e to d for the cat to go to his basket.

I don't know about a free manual, but I have seen them on ebay for just a few dollars. Not sure you can do better than that.

That particular model does not have a backlit screen. The original Gameboy advanced models like yours all had no backlights and this was a major flaw in the systems design. There was a company that made something called the afterburner. This was a backlight system that you could add to the gameboy, but it was pretty tough to install correctly as you had to take the entire system apart and could damage things. Your best bet would be to trade in your current model at a gamestop or similar store and try to pick up a Gameboy Advanced SP model (the square one). The Gameboy Advanced SP was a redesign of the original GBA and featured different dimensions, and a larger / backlit screen.

Then take the battiers out and if that dont work and you can play it with no batterys then you just did like a super mod lol hope this helps

do you know where you put the cartridge in below where you placed the 4 screws you can take those apart and you will see some cables inside you will see a red and back one together thats the power from the batteries below. i cut mine and drilled a hole on the side where my son wouldnt hit the cable and now my smart cycle doesn't use batteries it uses the power in my house to power it. i used a 4.5 volt 350 mA power supply for some other deal. i had laying around.
you can use 6volt power supply and that will work i wouldnt go higher than 6 volts since 4 D batteries add up to 6 volts 1.5 x 4 = 6 volts. the watts doest really matter since the device will use what it needs.
black cable on power supply goes to red on bike black and white cable on power supply goes to black cable on bike
at least thats how it worked on mine it didnt hurt my bike i had to switch the cables around i didnt have the polarity right the first try.

The lead or plug on your charger may be cracked. I have a SP charger but it has a bit of the plastic cracked off and has to be in a certain position to work properly. Otherwise you will need a new battery.

you can get an sd card and got to romulation to download roms and play on your phone i would chech out utube for detailed instructions becouse u have to down load winrar to read the files and instal another program to run them but if i can do it u can

I also had the same problem ,, it is caused by a failure in the saving system and I'm sorry to say it's unrepairable.

Leave the file on your PC and use TVersity to index and Transcode ALL your videos to your XBOX360 on the fly. No conversion needed. I have copied all my sons DVDs to my PC (he kept messing em up) now I store the originals as backups and play the movies from his xbox with TVersity

No, that one doesn't have a backlight. The next-generation gameboy advance does, but the first one.

you cant thts why its an emulator just get an action replay code so you can use the pokemon modifier

it,s not worth repairing.
the cost of a new motherboard and fitting will cost more than the Gameboy advance. i bet the three year old lads not the flavour of the month, with the 7 year old :)
have a look on e-bays the best, not everyone wants these anymore. you might find One on Swapz.co.uk if your in England.
