The POT is basically the power and spread the lens uses to read discs... the problem is, over a long period of time, the POT figure drops down, and if it drops too low, you will need to replace the lens.. Alright, by the sound of it you are trying to figure out what cable goes where. This is were I do guess work. The white chord is for like your headphone slot, so don't use it. The red is for the picture and the yellow is for the sound. I am not sure as which is picture and which is sound on the samsung but as I said, plug in those two chords and if that doesn't work, switch them. Hope this helps.
