If this is a version AGS-001 a replacement screen can be purchased and installed. If it's version AGS-101 getting a screen can be next to impossible.

But replacing the lcd screen or selling the unit as broken for parts are really your only two options.

Hi, yes it can play classic Game Boy games. On the other hand, if you reffer to roms as downloadable games, there is no legal way to do so, by any means, you would need a flashcart for that.

Did you clean the contacts on the game as well as the system? You may also try setting the GBA back to it's factory settings by turning it on and holding down L,R,A,B and Start

Dirty game pack probably . Or broken game pack .. Try a different game pack

Your better off just trading it in and getting a DS. The only thing I can think of is use something sticky (like honey or corn syrup) and let it set up. That will at least give it some resistance. Sorry couldn't be more helpful.

probably the battery is old. i have a ds that will only work when it's plugged in. try charging it for a good 5 minutes, then, while it's still plugged in, try turning it on. hopefully it will work.

You have either a broken, damaged or disconnected LCD screen. (The screen cable passes through the hinge)

Go to Settings - System - Console Settings - System Settings - then press LT,RT,X,Y,LB,RB,down four times and it should bring up a reset screen.

You might need to find and buy a new game boy color.

It has a short init then,try wiggling it to see if it don't pop back on

Step 1:

Hold down the "L" (shoulder) and tiny "Screen Light On/Off Switch" buttons of the Game Boy Advance simultaneously.

Well it sounds like the bAttery inside of the game pack that allows you to save the game data is dead now so buy a new game pack then.

Well it sounds like there is a loose connection inside of the sp then so it will have to get repaired too.

That's normal. The gba will play all three generations of game boy games. The start up screen that comes up is that of whichever cartridge you are putting in.
