Pins where you put the game in are bent. gameboy
Get a hemostat (looks like a very skinny needle-nose pliers, usually stainless steel or chrome-plated). You can sometimes find these at a hardware store or tool supply house; otherwise a medical supply vendor.Remove the battery from the Gameboy and keep one finger on the - battery contact inside the battery compartment. This will protect the unit from static electricity damage from the other hand holding the hemostat. Use that tool to carefully straighten the bent pins. Bent pins break easily; that's why you need to be careful not to use too much force or bend them too far the other way.If you do break a pin, you'll have to replace the connector. This requires some fine soldering skills and good tools. It is not something you can do with Grandpa's soldering gun.

Game Boy Advance SP - Charging Light Won't Display
If the orange-colored charge light on your Game Boy Advance SP is no longer coming on when the A/C Adapter is connected to your system, please use the following troubleshooting steps.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Make Sure the Game Boy Advance SP Isn't Already Fully Charged
If the battery is already fully charged, the light will not display when the system is plugged into the AC Adapter. Play a game without using the AC Adapter for at least 10-15 minutes, then plug the AC Adapter in, to see if the light comes on. If it does come on, the battery was fully charged. If the light still does not come on, see Step 2.
- Make Sure the Outlet You Are Using Works
Plugging another electrical device into the outlet is a good way to check if the outlet works, or that the outlet you are using is not controlled by a nearby light switch. You may also want to try a different outlet.
- Try a Different Licensed AC Adapter
If the charging light doesn't display, try a different AC Adapter, if possible, to determine if perhaps the problem is with the adapter.
- If a different AC Adapter works, you will need to get a replacement AC Adapter from our Online Store, or by calling our Consumer Service Department at 1-800-255-3700.
- If a different AC Adapter doesn't work, or if a replacement AC Adapter is not available and the lights will not display, we recommend having your Game Boy Advance SP repaired. Check out our convenient repair options.
Note: Please be sure to include both the Game Boy Advance SP and the AC Adapter with any repair

My gameboy while charging one
Hi,
Charging problem.
If you have experience in repairing GB SP, you could open the main board and check the continuity of the resistor coil near the charger inlet and the two micro fuse, that is the usual probs of the SP.
Check also the charger if the output has DC current.
If you have no idea on such repair, better bring it to your technician and have him do the repairing, it needs soldering to replace those parts that I have describe.
Thanks for asking FixYa!
Ive turned on my pokemon
Here is the perfect solution, : Guess what, that happened to my 30 minutes ago when i felt like playing my gameboy with pokemon emerald. This is an easy to solve problem, and it will work every time. This is a step by step procedure please follow the instructions one step at a time !! :::
Step one: Close the gameboy and take out Pokemon emerald
Step two: Blow into the bottom of pokemon emerald [to get dust out]
Step three: Blow into the place where you place pokemon emerald
Step four: Put it back in and test it, it the nintendo sign is all blury and weird, continue
Step five [Only do this if it still isnt working] Keep turning off the game boy and turning it back on
These problems are caused by damage done to the system or dust in the game cartridge.
If this hasnt worked,, Try it again :)
