Well I personally think that you know on how theese gamepacks have a dime size battery in them to save the game data well the dime size battery is dead now or its a broken or bad gamepack then. Not the gameboy advance sp then. Your sp is okay its just a crappy gamepack.

If you own the game and the game system you can legally play the game on your computer. You should try finding a device to rip the game onto your computer, as it would be completely legal. But if you do not want to find/buy such a device you can download the rom on the internet. Just type "Pokemon GBA Rom" into google and try to find one for download. Keep in mind that you aren't technically allowed to do this option. Secondly you need to find an emulator, I suggest "no$gba" you can find it here. You can either get the newest version of the program for $2.50, or you can get the last version for free. Just download the program and load the rom and you should be able to play. Just as a warning, make sure that you get the exact same game that you own because if you play one that you don't own that is illegal and considered as piracy.

Well the water might of damaged the sp so you will have to buy a new one then.

Unfortunately gaming consoles are not meant to survive getting wet, the electrical parts inside are most likely experiencing water damage and are beyond repair. Your best bet is to try to find a used console, you can find used GBAs for very cheap on sites like Craigslist, E-bay, Amazon, or at local stores like Gamestop or Hastings.

That is a problem with your individual game cartridges. The console itself does not store any memory, it is only designed to play the games. The game cartridge is what stores all memory. Don't get rid of your SP just yet.

Sounds like the battery is dead. You could buy a replacement somewhere online. On Amazon, they go from anywhere between a couple bucks and closer to 15.
