Bunn A10 Coffee Maker Questions & Answers
Water overfill
The A10 has a semi-sealed tank that keeps +1 pot of water heated and ready to brew. Pouring in a full pot of cold water will fill the top tray and allow a slow trickle of cold water into the top which forces hot water to over flow into the brew basket. This continues until all the cold water drains into the heater tank. So the brew is matched volume per volume. UNLESS the tank was empty or not filled prior to brewing. Follow the brewing instructions from Bunn (on line for *FREE* download at Bunn.com)
* If it leaks (from the bottom) only when you pour in water. Then your pouring it too fast and over flowing the fill tray. slowdown, watch the level in the tray. do not fill past the lid.
* If it leaks just sitting (not brewing) then there is a hole in the tank. Call for service.
* If it leaks after filling the tray half way. then the top of the tank has a leak, loose, cracked, or missing gasket. There is quite a few gaskets on the lid. Call for service.
* Final; Leaks are always bad around electrical equip. Best to unplug and call for service to be safe.

PS. Check your using the correct size decanter for this brewer. If it's a 10 cup brewer then make sure all the decanters in the office is also 10 cup. Pouring a 12 cup pot into brewer will have 12 cups of coffee come out (over flowing the 10 cup pot.) Note that not all decanters are made the same size. Other brands may be different. Test by filling a pot with water (from faucet) then pouring directly into pot in question. It should match and not under fill nor over fill.
Hot water will not come down thru coffee
Your pour over coffee brewer has a reservoir that holds more than a pot of water. First thing you need to do is turn off the machine. Then put the empty coffee pot on the burner. Then take another container and fill it with fresh cold water and pour it slowly into the coffee maker until it starts to come out into the coffee pot. Stop pouring in water.
Now turn the machine on and let it heat up. Now you can brew normally. The reservoir has to be filled before you turn it on or you will end up eventually burning up the heating element.
When i add water to
what do you mean by both sides of the pot? perhaps your basket hole is blocked or sprayhead is missing and water is going in faster than it can come out
Can not get water hot
Thermostat is what turns that heating element on and off so what ever the element is attatched to is your thermostat and that is what is bad, unless they use a thermister and that is on the board and unless you know electronics ,.,.,.. You can take it to an appliance place if you dont feel comfortable and you will have a warranty with the fix as well.
Warmer plate seems to have quit working,is it
Well, interesting question. If you could find the thermostat to repair the warming plate you are probably going to pay about $60.00 to purchase the part and another $50.00 in labor. The A10 can be purchased new for about $239.99. I guess the decision would be easy for me, but the choice is yours.
COFFEE MACHINE KEEPS FIL;LING UP AND OVERFLOWS.
Dunkin Donuts decaf coffee clogs the filter as the water fills the basket causing the basket to overflow. The coffee is ground too fine. Swtich brands or use a second filter to cover the coffee grounds to keep them from floating and clogging the filter.

Our Bunn A10 Coffe Maker has no brew timer on the
Hello. I need to know if you have an automatic unit, or a pourover. The pourover will not have a timer at all. The difference is you have to pour the water in to get coffee out, an automatic would be connected to a water line, and you just push a start button. If it is an automatic unit, there has to be a timer somewhere to adjust the amount. Here is a web address that has your manual, and a parts breakdown should you need to find where the timer is located.

Hope that helped, and thank you.
Problem with a Bunn STPF-15
This problem can be caused by either the solonoid or the flow control board. The easiest way to find out which one is causing it is to leave your brewer unplugged, unplug one wire off of the solonoid and plug your brewer back in. if it still does it, replace the solonoid valve. If it doesn't, replace yor control board. The solonoid should be under the front cover of your brewer, and is silver with 2 wires coming to it. The control board is located at the back of your brewer. Take careful note of where the wires are on that board, though, so you can put them back in the same place. I find the best way is to leave the wires on the old board, and replace them one by one to the new board, or if that is not possible, making a picture showing their placement is helpful.

run a mix of 1 part lemon juice or white vinegar to 15 parts water through the machine and re-pour the same mix in the machine twice more. then run fresh water through until it comes out clear in the pot. Your machine needs to be de calcified you can also remove the top plastic cover that has the grate built in to it and in the back on top you will see a nut with a hole in it that the water runs through when you pour it in. Take the bulb off of a turkey baster and put it over the nut after you have put water in the machine and use like a plunger. squeeze the bulb several times to push through any loose calcium that might have been building up. make sure that the bulb is under water put in the machine when you do this.
