Sounds like your belt is slipping. Check your manual, it'll probably tell you how to service it.

Hi Holly, please let us know what model of treadmill you have. Basically, there should be a 3-pin connector from the lift motor to a 3-pin plug, with rather large pins, near a couple or Triacs (Transistor looking things) that are bolted together. If you find this correct, you can turn off the treadmill, carefully reverse this cable 180-degrees, and theoretically you will be driving the opposite winding of the one causing you to lift incorrectly. This only gets the deck back down, and won't stop your troubles, as the assembly will now be trying to drive the lift down. There can be a few causes... 1) "Up" lift button stuck 2) console electronics gone haywire(unusual) 3) lift assembly feedback lost, missing, incorrect(bad lift) 4) failing control board Triacs(either/or failing causes trouble) Lasstly you can contact jatinah electronics for additional help. Hi There, I can't say I know this particular model, but most lift motor assemblies have 3-wires to drive Up and Down windings, and then 3-wires to return a small location signal that gets measured inside the lift gearbox(0-5vdc), and sent as a sample voltage to the upper console to tell it where the lift motor is currently positioned. This pot, or potentiometer, can get dirty, greasy, fail completely, or lose connections inside the gearbox. Do NOT apply 110vac to the pot wires by mistake, as smoke will be the result, oh, and a 13lb boat anchor of a lift assembly ;o) If you have a DMM or a way of checking resistance, you can contact jatinah electronics for further help. This sounds like there is an inadequate power supply to the panel circuit. Check that the batteries are properly seated in the battery compartment. Also, check that the batteries are not low or dead, as it could be that they are seated properly but not providing the necessary charge to the panel when you switch it on.

Check that the incline plus switch is not jammed or likely there is a defect in the panel circuit causing plus incline to be repeated. This needs to be trouble-shooted by removing and testing the panel circuit.
