Maybe your unit have had stuck keypad button.

The good reason is the cable that attaches the lcd backlight is loose, partially unplugged. If that isn't the case, the other reasons are bad.

Before you start up your laptop,, open the back panel, find the memory card/s detach it/them from the/their slots and clean the/their connector/s surface with pencil's eraser, soft cotton cloth or tissue paper. Reinsert the/those memory card/s properly. Boot the unit and see the good results. Good luck.

Your problem is two parts. One part concerns the touchpad and that is due to the touchpad hardware connections coming loose. The sticky key however is due to some sticky liquid seeping into the keyboard at one point in time. Maybe the laptop got exposed to a sugary beverage spill that made the keys sticky. Clean underneath you should be fine, but try not to remove the keys as you clean them because the braces that hold the keys to the keyboard base sometimes break.

Have you made sure u have the very latest TouchPad drivers and Lenovo applications for your G580 installed? If they are cleanly installed - theres a possibility that your touchpad has some minor physical damage. Worth checking the software side first :) Hope that helps

I was having the same problem in lenovo s10 3s , but I took it to service station and found that the internal cable which connects the screen to base was loose. You too take it to service station because no power issues and os problem is to do with screen flikr.Thank you.

Sounds like temperature or maybe a faulty battery. Are you using the laptop on a hard flat surface? Need to in order for the system fan to keep everything cool. Also , are the vents free of dust and debris?

This sounds like a problem with the keyboard connector, it sounds like some moisture has got in.
