Those LEDs are great. They are encased in a water tite package and have the pullup resistors built in so all you need to have is a DC voltage handy. They are made for what you want to do.

Why does a fuse keep blowing out for the brake lights?

Look at the fuse when its blows again. If the fuse element in black and lots of spray inside the fuse you have a dead short to ground, work from the lights back towards the switch, follow the wiring looking for any signs of blackened and burned wires and/or black burn spots on the body metal. If its just melted but still a clean break it indicates the circuit is being overloaded at some point. Try disconnecting all items in the smae circuit, plug each in one at a time, once it blows you found which one is casing the problem.

THE PROBLEM HAVING BRAKE LIGHT ON 2001 CHYSLER CONCORDE STAY ON BEFORE YOU PRESS THE BRAKE

You might want to look at the filaments in the affected bulb. a broken filament can touch the brake filament and cause it to light the brake lite to come on. Test it by turning on the lites and observe the light bulbs . If the brake lites are on replace the bulb. Next ..turn off the lites and check the lites again. If all are off step on the brake pedal once and recheck the lites. If they are on the switch on the brake pedal is bad.

High mount brake light works, but tail brake

I'd check the bulbs and wires on tail lights. Sometimes bulbs go out of place and wires corrode. In my car (not a mercury though) I had to give a little smack on the light to get it working. Of course, eventually I cleaned all wire connections (including ground wire) inside the light and all works now. I had a problem with one light though so if both tail lights are out it might be wires broken/shorted on the way from splitting point where one section heads to the high mount brake light and other to the tail light. Would be good to check the fuses too, they might have different ones. If blinkers and reverse also don't work then it's more likely wire problem like I stated before.

The left one quit working about 6 weeks ago today

Hello! a device called the Tail Light Relay; Located in the under dash fuse/relay box is the likely culprit...It controls the left/right brake lights but not the middle brake light...Also check that the L/R brake lights have a solid ground...Use an ohm meter...Zero ohms to negative battery terminal...

My brake lights won't work i checked fuses bulbs

Worst case scenario: Wiring is bad. Not too bad if you can run the wires by yourself, but dealerships and auto shop fees for this can get pretty large.

My bulb socket for the brakes light is not good

you can go to any parts house and they should have some light sockets that are a direct replacement and a few universal ones just tell them what kind of light u have. u can go to advance auto parts, auto zone, pep boys, napa, carquest or a local mom and pop shop. also u can try the dealership which is the best option or possibly a junk yard for that matter.

Make sure that you ground the brake at the end of the vehicle with the supplied wire then check if it is still on look at the switch at the pedal that activates the light as for the fuel gauge it may just need a new sending unit if everthing is attached right at first

Changing Brake lights on my 2001 honda civic Ex

on some of the newer cars they still will have a foam seal around the perimeter of the tail light that will be very difficult on removal. Do you think you have all the screws removed? If so, try putting some pressure on the tail light, with one hand on one side of the light and one hand on the other side. Not to much pressure just enough to see what is holding it in place and preferably near the corners and work your way around. If you have a hidden/missed screw this will show you without damaging areas.
