Hello there, the problem with your unit could be caused by a low battery or a system malfunction. The unit might need to be reset. The reset instructions can be found on page 13 of your User Manual. Reset the unit and the error should sort itself out automatically. Unless of course your network provider has decided to cancel these features on your line then you have to take it up with them.

If it is the i-tam 50 it can be fiddly, you'll need to tap the del button repeatedly whilst the message is playing.

dude??? for real??? you still have an ansering machine??? well, thats ok i guess. is it digital or analog??? if analog try changing tapes, or maybe erasing old messages. if its digital then i would chunk it and get call notes or get a caller id box an dscreen your calls. better yey just get rid of your home phone service and get all your calls on a cell phone...... much cheaper and more convienient.!!

if you have headphone jack use remote speaker or if not carefully remove srews snip wires going to speaker, go to radio shack or ebay search for any radar detector because speakers are same hook speaker up to wires and that should fix your problem

Setting up auto answer

· Press the Messages button.

· The voice will ask you for a password. The default password is 1234.

· Follow the voice instructions from there.

Accessing voice mail from your own phone

· You will know you have voice mail when you see a flashing envelope next to your extension number and when you see the red light on your handset.

· Press the Messages button and listen for the voice instructions.

· Enter your password.

· Follow the voice instructions from there - Pressing 1 allows you to repeat messages, 2 allows you to save messages, and 3 allows you to delete messages.

Accessing voice mail from another phone on campus

· Dial your 4 digit office extension number or the voice mail extension number 1001.

· Press the * key during your greeting.

· The voice will ask you to enter your ID number - Enter you 4 digit extension number again and press #.

· The voice will then ask you to enter your password - Enter your voicemail password that you previously set up.

Accessing voice mail from off campus

· Dial your office number directly, including the area code OR dial the main number 724-503-1001.

· Press the * key during your greeting.

· The voice will ask you to enter your ID number - Enter your 4 digit extension and press #.

· The voice will then ask you to enter your password - Enter the voicemail password that you previously set up.

This is because the speaker on your phone is damaged.You can try taking it to service centre they may just replace the speaker alone.If that is not possible no other go you need to go for a new phone only.

I needed a manual also, and TF0903 is on the back of the phone. But then I found FM2575 on a sticker on the front of the phone, which does have a manual at http://www.swbfreedomphone.com/ib/ibcid/fm2575.pdf, which seems to match my phone exactly.

It must get the date and time from Caller ID when it gets a call. When I first set mine up, the date was 01/01 and time 12:00. Now after receiving three calls, the date and time are correct.

I went to the southwesten bell freedom phone site on the web. Found answering machines.  My old machine was not listed, so I found instructions for a later machine.
The method for setting time was similar.  I tried it and it worked fine.
Your high prices prompted me to be less lazy.

There are a few possibilities that could be the cause. The fact that its only one unit malfunctioning most likely means it is some type of fault in the unit it self and not the connection. Have you swapped it with another unit to make sure its the unit itself? If so try these. The first and most simple is the easiest to fix. It may sound odd but dirt and other contaminants can cause a great deal of interference "static" when they get worked into the metal connectors that carry signals. If that is the case, I recommend that you unplug the device and use "electronics" contact cleaner on all the connectors and if possible the metal contacts themselves. If it is not a containment then it could be a loose connector blown speaker/mic or even a solder joint inside the device. If that is the case you may have to have it repaired.

Good question but no 'make model (what it is). Base units have an antenna, make sure it is extended. Make sure the batteries in the satellite hand sets are good as they send out the signal to the base unit to be 'in range'. Not sure about the PIN request, refer to the manual. They are all online. Google make model manual ..
