My game won't save help!!!!

Spotlight interferes with the way the program saves.  Open spotlight preferences and click on the privacy tab.  Tell spotlight not to search your save games folder.  then it should work fine.

Shadows of Amn crashes randomly when I try to

This happened to me, also. I don't remember which forum it was, but I found a solution. The problem is Spotlight. You need to prevent it from "looking" at the files in the game, as it causes crashes. The path is: System Preferences (under the 'Apple' in the upper left of the screen --> Spotlight (sub-heading of 'Personal') --> in that window, you can toggle between "Search Results/Privacy". Go to "Privacy" and drag the entire BG II folder into the window. This will prevent the crashes upon saving.

Will Macplay's Baldur's Gate 2 run on this computer?

Baldur's Gate is roughly ten years old so it was made to run on hardware that would be a fraction of what you have. If it doesn't play it certainly wouldn't be because of your hardware.

I also found this site with users running it on much older Macs:

Umar Hills wont load.

I have the same issue, the game asks for disc 3. It can read the disc i used it to start up the game it has nothing to do with the switching discs. I had the BG folder open with the game on small screen. I went to other areas, i use the ToB disc and in the BG folder when i went to other areas, it reads the folder i.e. disc 2. and i didn't have to change discs. but it didn't read the folder disc 3 when i went to umar hills WTF. I reloaded the game too but still fails.

After I installed Baldur's Gate II on my MacBook,

I love that game dude, but it's old and sadly depending on the OS you have, it doesn't run. You're probably using Mac OS X, or even Mac OS X Snow Leopard and BG2SoA doesn't run on Mac unless you have bootcamp.

Macplay baldurs gate 2 disk ejects before loading

I manage to start the game on Mac OS X Leopard. I have burn the CDs (CD 2 - 3 - 4, because you need them to play) and than, to solve the problem of "ejects of the disk" I have also mounted the image dmg. Then to start the game I insert the CD 2 for example, then I mount the disk image dmg (the same that I have burn on the CD) e then I open a file .bif in the folder CD2/Data/
The computer open this file and start the game!

Does Baldur's Gate II install on an intel mac running 10.5.7?

There's currently no reports of BG2 not working on the new updates of OSX

So it "should" work. Providing your mac is above the original system requirements the game suggests.

Can't start multiplay

Just do a multiplayer game with 1 person assigned to you. If that works, keep going up in 1s. It might just be that the amount of people you are trying to use is just too big for the computer to handle. Keep going up in 1s until it no longer works.

Error 89

Error 89 is probably something wrong with it actually loading the new map. Theres probably a script error with the transition 'compasses'. I suggest cleaning the disk as well as possible (if you havent already tried), and, if that doesnt work, i think its a good idea to get a new disk.

How to be a good Battlemage

Obviously there is no battlemage class. What you do is start off as a warrior class, but change the attributes. then level up 2 times as a mage, and then 1 level of warrior. You cant wear the armour, but you can use the weapons!
Hope you enjoy it!!!

Baldur's Gate II Keeps crashing!

uninstall anything you dont need is a good start. If, when you have done this, it persists, then reinstall the game. If it still does it, check if all the system requirements match to the RECOMMENDED, NOT MINIMUM. Some games wont actually work on minimum. Plus, some games dont work on some operating systems.
Please rate me.
