Oil leak at top of pump

The oil in the pump is probably leaking because a seal is blown and water is getting into the piston housing. Take a look inside at the oil. It should be brown and translucent. If it is gray, white or milky, you have a blown oil seal. This reservoir should only be 1/3 full of non-detergent oil to begin with. Hope this helps

Why does engine bog down when I press spray nozzle in?

If it really bogs down to where the engine is struggling....it's the carburetor. It's not allowing the engine the fuel/air ratio it needs for peak performance.

How do I release stuck quick connect on my NorthStar pressure washer?

If it is a twist coupler which won't turn, i use a pipe wrench or channel locks. If it's a quick coupler socket and the sleeve won't pull back, the quick coupler plug is bad. If you can't get them apart, both should be replacedTodd Lehkereplaced.

Fuel driping from bottom

Sounds like the float in the carb is stuck. Take the bowl off, and check to see that the float is moving freely. Also check to see that the needle valve seat is clean - use a qtip or small wooden dowel to clean the seat.

Engine cut out when it was turning over and now when i try starting it i have nothing when i turn the key i put jump leads on the battery from my car but still nothing

Paul: I would disconnect the positive lead terminal from the battery on the mower, then follow the positive lead to the starter solenoid. Check the connection there for security (is it clean and tight?). Then the connections on the starter... disconnect, clean and tighten them. remove the terminal from the negative battery pole, and remove the ground cable from the frame of the machine, clean the terminal and the point where the negative cable contacts the frame of the machine... do the same for each battery terminal and cable terminal. Connect the negative battery terminal last. Your problems should be solved.

Are there any prob buying pressure washers from pawn shops

First things to check is are air filter and exhaust. If there is signs of oil then the unit has been tipped and you will probably need to strip the cylinder head to sort it. Also check engine and pump oil levels and start the machine if you are allowed to. If it starts after a few pulls then you have a good chance of it being ok. White exhaust smoke is bad if constant as it is oil burning. Blue smoke isn't quite so bad as it indicates (probably) rich fuel/air mixture. Puff of white smoke that doesn't stay constant is also a sign that the machine may have been tipped at some time and it is just the oil residue burning of the cylinder head.
