The lower duct hose will come out by pulling it out at either end.

Your belt should not need replaced unless it has over heated the belt somehow. It has a lifetime belt. There are screws on the bottom of the vacuum that allow the cover of the nozzle assembly to be removed to gain access to the belt area. It may be less cost in the long run to have it looked at by a Riccar repair technician.

The Brilliance has a lifetime belt but if it gets overheated it can get warped and comes off. Normally you do not need to replace the belt unless there is a problem. You have to remove the cover over the power nozzle assembly by removing the screws on the bottom. Notice how the belt goes around the motor shaft and through the "Hall Assembly" which is the spring loaded lever that detects a jam and shuts the brush roll motor off.

The red guard goes on top of the foam after it is installed. The purpose of the red guard is to keep the bag from sucking down against the filter when you get a few inches of dirt in the bottom of the bag. If it sucks down against the filter the dirt in the bag will cause an airlfow restriction even though the bag is not full.

Depending on the model, it may mean it's time for a filter change.;

One screw on back of handle will allow handle to slide off with some force. Two screws on front above bag door will allow small cover to come off allowing access to where cord connects inside vacuum.

Reset button is at bottom on the rear of vacuum.

You may have hair and debris in the endcaps or bearings of your brushroll causing a restriction. The belt sensor thinks you have something stuck in the brushroll so it shuts it off. It's a simple fix, if you can't figure out how to do it take it to your Riccar dealer.

I found the hidden screws under the cord rewind and power buttons.

The caps will come out of the end of the metal roller. They can be difficult if it's been a long time as dirt and grime can build up. Try sticking a flat head screwdriver in and gently twisting to get the caps to slide out.

It depends on which model you have. Most models have a fan that will never need replaced. Tandem air and Supralight models have a fan that could be damaged on older models but is unlikely on newer models as fan are now made from a flexible material. Remove the motor assembly and disassemble to get to the fan. Remove the nut from. The shaft and remove the fan. Install new fan and put back together in reverse order as it was taken apart.

The belt may look fine but could have lost elasticity. Stretch belts will lose elasticity and should be replaced at least once or twice per year. If the brush strips are worn or frayed it will not pick up properly.

Attach the bag securely in the bag holder. Slide the bag holder into the groove in the vacuum making sure the hole in the bag lines up with the hole in the vacuum where the hose attaches to.

There is a little tab that releases when you push the pedal. The tab is probably worn and needs to be replaced. This repair is not hard to do when you know how but can be difficult if you've never done it. You can get the parts and advise from your local Riccar dealer

There are various small parts that make up the hook. First insert the L bolt through hole in handle. Put cord holder on L bolt, put lock washer and nut on and tighten nut. Then put cord hook on L bolt followed by spring, large washer, lock nut and another nut. Snug nut up and test to be sure it will swivel.

The belt on an 8925 should not have any twist. If it has been twisted the brushroll will go backwards. Install a new belt and make sure it will spin freely with no twist in the belt.
