All you need to do is download & install Windows XP Mode for Windows 7
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx
Once installed you will be able to run all your favorite old programs , if you run into any compatibility issues , right click on the .exe file & select "properties" , compatibility mode , & select the settings your program is known to work with .

After all this if you still can't run the program , try using " virtualbox " or " vmware virtual machine " & install a copy of windows xp as a virtual machine .

Here are the steps:

1. In Tools/Options/General Options, check the box beside "Optimal Printing Resolution".

2. Go to File/Printer Setup/Printer Setup.

3. Under "Name" select Broderbund PDF Converter v2.10d

4. Next, go to File/Professional Printing.

5. Select "Save As PDF".

6. At the next screen, type the name of the PDF file you want to save in "Project Name".

7. Under "PDF Resolution", select 600 dpi.

8. Click on "Save As". In the next window, browse to the folder in which you want to save the file (for example: My Documents).

9. Click on the "Save" button.

10. PrintMaster will save the PDF file to the folder you selected.

11. Open the file in Adobe Acrobat to make sure all the elements and pages are there and that it looks as expected.

12. Once you are satisfied, upload this file to Print Pelican.

There are two caveats: 1. Because it is made to print cards and calendars to your laser or ink-jet printer, PrintMaster expects page sizes to be standard ones such as 11" x 17" or 8.5" x 11". Custom page sizes (such as 7" x 10") may not work properly. 2. Do not use backgrounds or elements that print to the edge of the page. This is a feature that will not print properly from PrintMaster. Make sure your pages have white margins with nothing printing on them.

how to use PrintMaster :

Open PrintMaster by double-clicking on the icon on your desktop
Click "New Project." A window will appear offering you various templates, such as "Scrapbook," "Business Card" and "Certificate."
Click on the template you want to use. If you don't want to use a template, click "Blank Page," then click "Next" at the bottom of the window.
Select your page size from the window that pops up.
Use the "Add" drop-down menu to add various things to your project. From here, you can add graphics, colors and textures. Simply click "Add," then select the appropriate option from the drop-down menu. A new window will appear. Click on what you want to add. Once the graphic is added, you'll be able to drag it to wherever you want it on your page.
Click "Crop Object" from the menu on the left-hand side to remove a part of any graphic. Simply click and drag your mouse over the area to select the area to be cropped.
Use layers to move graphics and text either behind or in front of each other. To do this, click "Layout," "Layer," then "Send to Back" or "Send to Front."
Click "Add or Edit Text" to add various portions of text to your document. Choose a font you would like to use from the list, then type your text into the box provided. Click "OK," then move your text wherever you would like it to be.
Click on "File" then "Print" in order to print your PrintMaster project. You'll be able to select the number of copies as well as the size of paper you want to print on.

If this happens with a single disk, then the problem is the disk. If the player does not recognise any disk, then it is either a lens problem or a faulty drive. Please get back to me to know more.

Have you installed the printer's drivers/softwares? Is the printer detected by the computer? Let me know with more details, it not possible to assume since you didn't mention the exact problem, only cannot find my printer by your installed programs isn't enough... First, check the connection and make sure it's detected by the computer, secondly, verify that the correct drivers is installed on your computer.

You can use Add/Remove on your system or any free uninstallers program eg Revo Uninstaller (free version), CCleaner.

Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver/application you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer/application first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. Just reply back if it still doesn't work.:D rate and vote for me:))

Well Broderbund PrintMaster Gold 16 is not compatible with the Windows XP 64 bit, this is compatible with the XP 32 bit, so you need to install them into a XP 32 bit environment. Please post comments if you need more help or information.......

You might want to get a un installer program from a 3rd party or reinstall the operating system or recover back to a date when this was not un installed. So there are 3 options here you can choose witch ever you feel would be good for you.

Thanks for using FixYa. If you have properly installed the Print Master Gold 18 from the software provided, then it should be able to add text and graphics. Please make sure that your computer meets the system requirements for Print Master Gold 18. Minimum system requirements for both packages are a 500 MHz Pentium III computer, running Window XP with Service Pack 2 or Vista with 128 MB of ram for an XP system and minimum memory for Vista is 1 GB of ram. Monitor must be capable of displaying 16-bit color at 800 x 600 pixels. Hard drive space needed for installation of the Gold 18 version is 1 GB. Additional software and hardware requirements include Adobe Shockwave, Adobe Flash Player and Internet Explorer. You can download these programs if not already downloaded.

printmaster came with a driver for Vista but in the new ver. not for the old one...sorry

Broderbund software is often lousy to uninstall, leaving bits and pieces behind, including often registry keys no longer needed.
I would try it through the Add/remove programs function in the control panel as long as you have the restore routine keeping a backup of your system in case the removal takes something away with it that you need. It doesn't take long to get a system back to where it once was.
