Kitchenaid Artisan Stand Mixer has stuck hub bevel gear (KSM150PS)

The bevel gear sits above the worm-follower gear. I think you mean the drive attachment gear.I think I have the same, or similar problem. I ground a piece of meat that stopped it from working. The drive-attachment-gear turns if I push it in, but then it pops out. I am still trying to figure out what part is causing the issue - the drive attachment gear, or maybe even the worm follower gear.

How do I fix my Kitchenaid mixer, that produces a loud clatter at low speeds and a burning smell?

That green sparking looks to be in the area of the off/on contacts, look for something causing them to not be touching properly. The speed control lever has a ramp on the plastic end that goes through that speed control plate to move that copper arm, that is the off/on switch. I'm wondering if maybe the voltage from your converter is not fully as it should be, just a thought. If you wanted to properly convert to Euro voltage you need an armature, a set of fields and that small PCB with the 6 wires off it just above the black speed control plate. You set your slowest speed (#1) with the 2 screws and locknuts on the top of the speed control plate. 13 to 15 rpm in 15 seconds, I do it by running mixer with palm of my hand in position to be bumped by the silver shaft on the planetary each revolution, count them and watch your second hand. Once that is done you set that bottom screw to just increase the speed as you click the lever into speed 2. Had a look at your video, the governor does not sound happy, it could be the back plate adjustment out of whack to cause it. You can email me with more questions if you like [email protected]

Oil leaking from the attachment head

The grease leaking out of the KitchenAid mixer can be a common problem. Here is the cause, and how to fix it, and prevent this issue from happening in the future. The KitchenAid mixers use a Benalene 930-2 grease inside of them. It is a dark, thick grease that can break down and leak out of the mixer. The grease is a non-toxic vegetable based grease, basically it is a food grade grease. Over time, or if you do not use your mixer often the grease can break down, so it would appear that there is oil leaking from the mixer. It is most common for it to leak from the beater shaft (agitator shaft) and from the drip ring. What you need to do is take the mixer apart, clean out all of the old grease, replace it with about 6 ounces of new food grade grease (http://www.mendingshed.com/kagrease.html). It is also recommended that your replace the o-ring on the center shaft (http://www.mendingshed.com/67500-55.html) and the gearbox gasket (http://www.mendingshed.com/mixergasket.html). To prevent the grease from breaking down in the future if you do not use the mixer very often, it is recommended that you pull the mixer out and run it for about 2 minutes every 3-4 weeks, this should stop the grease from breaking down as quickly. Please let me know if you have any questions. This applies to mixer models, K45, K45SS, KSM75, KSM90, KSM103, KSM110, KSM150, KSM151, KSM152, K5, K5A, K5SS, KSM5, KSM50P, KP50 AND KPM5Thank you,ColleenCustomer ServiceMendingShed.com[email protected]800-339-9297

Carbon brush stuck in kitchen aid mixer

What model number is your machine? Try turning it on it's side and shake a little, take a very small screwdriver and grind away to crack the brush and shake it out. Otherwise it is a full tear down to take the brush holder out. Hope this helps if not get back to us for help

KitchenAid Professional 5 Quart stand mixer grain mill won't grind?

From what I know about these and industrial Hobart mixers is that where drive gears are on a shaft they are held by a shear pin that goes right through the gear and the shaft. They are made to shear if the grinder or planetary head is strained. It shears the pin instead of damaging the motor or shredding gears. When they do shear, there is often enough friction to turn the attachment, but not enough force under load. I see two shear pins in this diagram 19/8 and part 14/8. The diagram also show the orientation of bevel gears. https://www.google.com/search?q=olympus+s924+manual A Moulinex Coffee Mill might be a better solution for grinding wheat. ..

How to convert kitchenaid mixer from 220v to 110v

It's perfectly save to use a power converter from 220v to 110V. The 50Hz Frequenz will let the Motor spin 20% slower. So it'll last forever. I use a KSM90 from the US in Germany for more than 25 years. It runs great and the gears inside it look like new.

Can i use it to make panko?

Panko are made with a special non-fermented bread that has no crust. You can however make good breadcrumbs with old hard bread and if you want it to be like Panko, pulse it and leave the crumbs coarse. I am a trade chef and use Panko a lot. Panko (???) is a type of flaky bread crumbs used in Japanese cuisine as a crunchy coating for fried foods, such as tonkatsu. Panko is made from bread baked by electrical current, which yields a bread without a crust, and then grinding the bread to create fine slivers of crumb.[1] It has a crisper, airier texture than most types of breading found in Western cuisine and maintains its texture baked or deep fried, resulting in a lighter coating.[2] Outside Japan, its use is becoming more popular in both Asian and non-Asian dishes. It is often used on seafood and is often available in Asian markets, speciality stores, and, increasingly, in many large supermarkets. Panko is produced worldwide, particularly in Asian countries, including Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, China, and Vietnam.

110v KitchenAid artisan running twice the stir speed.

It's a 110 volt 1200 watt mixer and you are supplying it with 220 volts 500 watts of electricity through the inverter.https://www.walmart.com/ip/110V-Stand-Mixer-1200W-6-Speed-Tilt-Head-Electric-Food-Mixer-Dough-Hook-Mixing-Beater-Whisk-Splash-Guard-4-2QT-Stainless-Steel-Bowl-Red/353191351Now for the odd part, an 'inverter' takes a small number of volts usually 12 volts DC (direct current) and inverts it into 110 volts AC (alternating current) inverting the sine wave at 60 cycles per second..If you have a 220 volts supply and want to power an appliance that is 110 volts, you need a TRANSFORMER not an inverter. You are taking 220 volts AC and transforming it into 110 volts AC. That transformer needs to be able to supply more watts than your appliance. In your case 1,500 to 2,000 watts output. Something like this. My advice, buy a new mixer, sell the old one back home.https://www.amazon.co.uk/MSKJ-Converter-Transformer-220V-110V-Appliances/dp/B07CPNTNDD?th=1..

Hobart KitchenAid K5-A. Just replaced the grease and on reassembly, the planetary housing won't line up (vertically) with the pin hole.

Sounds like movement on the shaft. Grab the end of the shaft with grips and pull it towards you. Then put the gear on without pushing it back in. Here is a parts schematic, but lots of parts are obsolete. I could do with one of these myself for making bread! https://www.ereplacementparts.com/kitchenaid-k5a-mixer-parts-c-114958_114959_290214.html ..
