HOW DO I MANUALLY LOWER BOWL IF MIXER WILL NOT START?

Trina you might be better off to contact Hobart or an authorised Hobart service agent about this. The lack of answers probably indicates resident hobart experts are absent.

RESET A HOBART 140 QT MIXER

The V-1401 has a power bowl lift that is belt driven by the same motor that is used to mix. Remove top cover to check the belt. If belt is good and not slipping, is the operator handle working on /in the bowl lift gear box? If not, could be broken shear pin on handle or worn out parts in gear box. Next thing to check is the output shaft of the bowl lift gear box. If it is turning when the operator handle is engaged and the bowl lift jack shaft is not turning there is a broken shear pin between the output shaft and jack shaft. If everything is good to this point the bowl lift yoke has a large brass nut on back side of it that the jack shaft goes through. If the nut is worn the bowl lift yoke will slip, fall and/or jam. to unstick and lower the bowl , one can turn the jack shaft by hand. WARNNING : if the nut is worn enough the yoke can drop suddenly and it is very heavy.

Hobart A200 mixer won't start no power, any suggestions of next steps?

My experience with electrics has mostly been coffee grinders, hand held food blenders and vacuum cleaners but these are the checks I do. Sadly you'll have to open her up again to do these. Personally I wouldn't use compressed air. Some compressor pressures can be a bit too powerful. I would suggest a vacuum. Stick the foot end of a pair of tights (pantyhose) over the nozzle that way you get suction but you don't lose nuts and screws up into the vacuum. Opening her up again might reveal a loose wire you missed rebuilding it. That was my issue with a vacuum cleaner I rebuilt. -Turn the motor by hand using the shaft the blade bolts to. Your feeling for it smoothly and quietly turning. If it's gritty, noisy or your getting tight spots there's dirt or something inside or a bearing is worn out. -Test for voltage at every point where a wire ends and connects to something else like switches, circuit boards and the motor itself. -Disconnect the wires to the motor and test for Continuity. Set your Multi meter to Ohms (the little horse shoe symbol) and touch the test probes, one each motor terminal. You should get a very low number somewhere near zero. Most multimeters will beep when you have continuity. If you get an 'L' or 'OL' there's a short or a broken wire. -I would then do the same test across all the switches on the machine, wires off and test the switch. Just because they move doesn't mean they're working. These steps usually work for me so give them a try, the multimeter won't hurt the machine.

Hobart A200 transmission, marble sounds, resistance with shaft support installed

It sounds like there may be a few potential issues that could be causing the resistance you are experiencing:
  1. Incorrect installation of the slow speed gear or key - If the slow speed gear or key were installed incorrectly, this could cause increased resistance in certain gears. Double-check the installation of these components to ensure they are properly oriented and positioned.
  2. Stuck gears - If the gears and key are stuck on the drive shaft, this could cause increased resistance. Try removing the gears and key again, and make sure they are clean and free of any debris before re-installing them.
  3. Improper alignment of the gears - If the gears are not properly aligned, this could cause increased resistance. Check to make sure the gears are properly seated and aligned with each other.
  4. Damage to the worm wheel - The freshly chewed up center of the worm wheel could be causing increased resistance. Consider replacing the worm wheel if it appears to be damaged.
Overall, it may be helpful to consult the Hobart service manual for your specific model to ensure all components are installed correctly and to troubleshoot any additional issues that may be causing the resistance.

Hobart Legacy HL200 stopped working?

That is a $10k to $20k mixer, depending on where you buy it. I have used one of these. Unfortunately, grinding noises that result in the motor stopping can be fixed with a power disconnect. Grinding noises = dry bearings, to seized bearings, to shredded or stripped gears. You need a Hobart Service Tech. https://www.google.com/search?q=Hobart+Legacy+HL200 ..

Proper installation of Hobart A200 oil seal

Watch the videos and see if you did it correctly. The oil seal is tight in its seat so it can't be off centre. The best thing for bedding seals is a hydraulic press and a large socket. https://www.google.com/search?q=installation+of+Hobart+A200+oil+seal ..

Hobart A-200 first gear not working

Try having the planetary nut(s) less tight. From what I've read this model is very sensitive to the main shaft being tightened too much. I'm in the process of rebuilding mine and I screwed this up. Sounds like you did better if it's largely working. Let us know what you find.

Hobart HL 600 Trips GFI breakers

The sure fire tester for this problem is called a MEGGER and it measures the resistance between the insulations on everything. You could try that to see what it says. Some motors dont work well with GFI because they are capacitive start and that trips the GFI.
