water flowing in would make noise. so no water, no noise. Bad water valve or connection, or supply line shut off.

I have seen water jets blocked. This could cause a high velocity spray which would spin the bar rather fast or just produce more noise.

normally, when an error code is displayed buttons will not respond unless reset with a power cycle. Even then if the E1 code persists you get no response.
The manual should tell you what the code is. That may only give you a small clue and you will still need to call someone.
E1 in general appears to be a "water leak". But the defect isn't necessarily going to give you water on the floor. The water level float system could be bad, or the pump causing water to leak down the drain.

I assume you have been using this and are familiar with the process to start it.
if any light is on, the unit is getting power. If you pressed all the right buttons in the right sequence, then you have a bad control unit

Power - if you are handy and have a voltmeter, make sure there is power at the washer. If not handy call someone. It can be dangerous. circuit breaker tripped or defective. Hidden power switch-normally they don't have one. bad connection, wire nut or broken wire.

If power is there, then it is probably the control unit.

The float switch/level sensor in the rinse boiler has not activated. This could be a faulty solenoid not letting the water in(assuming the isolating valve is turned on), or a faulty float switch/level sensor. This would result in water overflowing through the rinse arms and the overflow in the rear of the wash tank.

Hi,

I was looking for spare-parts for my dish-washer Siemens Lady-Plus 25, bought in 1993 !....and I find your request.

Still needing one ?
I can of course send you via e-mail, the english pages of it.

The dishwasher filter/trap has accumulated food particles that are causing the smell. Remove the filter and clean away any food particles that may be present. Dishwasher drain hose is kinked/bent causing waste water to flow back into dishwasher. Straighten the drain hose to prevent the backflow of wastewater.https://removeandreplace.com/2018/07/18/dishwasher-smells-what-causes-my-dishwasher-to-smell/https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=How+do+i+get+rid+of+the+rotten+odour+from+my+dishwasher#kpvalbx=1

Your dishwasher may have the option to turn on or off drying dishes. Check your selection.

A failing inlet water solenoid valve. You need a new one.

There is an adjustment for that OR the unit got snagged when it was installed. You need to remove it from under the counter a little and see if it opens all the way. There are pulleys, springs etc near the bottom of the door that adjust that tension. Make sure they are not caught on the cabinets etc.
