You may have inadvertently turned the backlighting off. Ray marine has an extensive library on-line. I have usually been able to find what I need there. May take some digging though.

From the owner's manual (Page 14) you need to press "menu", then select "Frequency Group", then you have the choice of USA, Canada or International channels:

You cannot just reprogram your Raymarine to european standard.

This radio has been built and is licenced for using with USA frequency, in Europe his use will be limited to lower bands with no modification.

To be fully adapted to higher bands, the radio must be taken apart, and you need to bridge a contact on the main board.

The use of the radio after modifacion won't be legal in Europe.
