Have 12 V bow mount trolling motor that doesn't
Hello, You have several points to check. #1 check your wiring connections--- plug, plug socket, wiring connections internal of trolling motor, condition of wiring to battery, battery terminal connection & charge of battery. #2 borrow someones DVM (digital multimeter) and check the resistance of the speed control as you turn it without any wires connected to it. #3 if problem not found take 2 aspirin and E-mail me of test results "for further review".

I am having raqising my trolling up from the water
It sounds to me like you have a bent eye shaft (the location where the rope is tied is bent). Before you go and buy one, make sure to check for rust in the areas where the trolling motor releases. If you have no rust chances are good that you'll need to order an eye shaft.
Trolling motor stays on same speed no matter where
I just recently had a simialr problem. No speed control and motor only ran at 100. I talked to the minn kota tech rep and sent him my control board and he said it had a bad potentiometer...however, I had to buy a control board to fix the problem ($215). Hate to say it but sounds like you may need a new control board.
How to remove the prop
there is a plastic nut that screws onto the prop shaft and needs to be unscrewed. there is also a metal pin that goes through the shaft that needs to be in place and in the right position when you replace the prop. make sure you clear out any fishing line etc that may have collected behind it when you change props.sually recommend you put a little clear silicone grease on the parts as you assemble them as well.ake sure you disconnect the power leads from the battery while your doing this to avoid injury.
No power like it is running on 12 volts
I would first put a voltage tester on there and see if your getting 12 or 24 volts... You could have bad batteries... As far as running a 24 volt system the best thing to do is to set it up based on the owners manual... My 24v system has the position from battery (1) one going to the motor (put a fuse on that thing), the negative on battery (1) one goes to the position on battery (2) two. The negative on battery (2) two goes back to the motor.
Burning out fuses on trolling motor at battery
not enough info. I went the the min kota website, they show four maxxum 80's at different voltages.is it a 12v 24v or larger? without a year model I'll have no reference to what wiring schematic Is the fuse connected inline with the trolling motor? what size amp fuse are you burning up? well I can give you some troubleshooting tips. tools to buy (1) amp gauge. if you are unfamilier with amp gauges make sure you get instruction book with gauge or you could burn yourself. Toubleshooting(1) Remove cover off minn kota trolling motor. black cover ontop of unit were the foot control wires go into.turn over foot control remove cover (2) check for corrosion. any exposed terminals should be cleaned.(3) go to your batteries and clean all connections. make sure the batteries are fully charged.(4) take amp gauge and test positive wire for amp draw as you tun on trollling motor and run it through all speeds. if batteries are in the rear away from trolling motor get a 2nd person to control trolling motor. if the trolling motor is more than a 12v system you will have more than one positive lead to test.GOAL. What your trying to find out is how many amps the trolling motor is really pulling. and at what speeds. under a load in the water and out of the water.how many more amps than the fuse raiting? newer trolling motors come with inline breakers not fuses so I'm guessing your using 30 amp fuses. again without more info i can only guess.
Why does my 65lbs minn kota maxxum not run quite?
Fishing string on shaft, runing while out of water(will burn up seals so fast), bent shaft, off balance prop, bad rotor in the electric motor. lots of variables. I bought one that was noisy out of the box, vibrated very bad from the get go
