Replacing DCS oven knobs

It sounds like the knobs are not staying on the shaft of the control is the issue. Perhaps in removal the original fitting process, or subsequent attempts to refit the knobs, has altered the ID of the knob, rendering it unable to provide enough grab to stay seated to the shaft(as the Amico indicated). New knobs may reseat ok onto the shaft with the asistance of a hammer, but an old knob may not be able to. Since the knobs are keywayed, and rotation isnt an issue, perhaps it is time for a dab of silicone sealant to the shaft just to stop them popping off again... is what I would do :)

RGV2-485GDN - DCS Fisher Paykel gas oven on range will not reach high temperature

Based on the information you provided, it sounds like you have already done a thorough job troubleshooting and attempting to resolve the issue with your DCS Fisher Paykel gas oven. If the oven is not reaching high temperatures even after you have replaced the igniter and dual gas valve, and swapped the circuit board from the working side, there are a few other things you can check:
  1. Check the oven thermostat: The thermostat is responsible for regulating the temperature in the oven. If it is not functioning properly, it may be preventing the oven from reaching high temperatures. You can test the thermostat with a multimeter to see if it is functioning correctly.
  2. Check the oven temperature sensor: The temperature sensor is located inside the oven and sends temperature readings to the control board. If it is not working properly, it can cause the oven to not heat up to the desired temperature. You can test the sensor with a multimeter to see if it is functioning correctly.
  3. Check for obstructions in the gas line: If there is a blockage or obstruction in the gas line, it can prevent the oven from getting enough gas to heat up to high temperatures. Check the gas line for any debris or blockages and clean them out if necessary.
  4. Check the regulator: The regulator is responsible for regulating the pressure of the gas going into the oven. If it is not functioning properly, it can prevent the oven from heating up to high temperatures. You can test the regulator with a gas pressure gauge to see if it is functioning correctly.
If none of these solutions solve the problem, it may be best to contact a qualified technician to further diagnose and repair the issue with your oven. They will have access to a service manual and specialized tools needed to diagnose and repair the oven.

HELLO , I HAVE A 30 INCH DCS OVEN SELF CLEANING DOOR WILL NOT UNLOCK AFTER 5 HOURS AND IT NEVER GOT HOT , WILL NOT OPEN AND ITS MAKING NOISE . ANY HELP PLEASE ?

Hi Steve, from what you're describing,it sounds like you've got a bad door lock motor. It should have 2 check switches on the assembly. If one or both of those switches are bad,the control will not read the lock as being engaged so it will not allow the cleaning cycle to start. To get the oven door open you need to pull the locking hook over to the right with a coat hanger. To access the lock assembly you have to get under the top. It's a pain in the rear end but it is doable. Hope that helps and good luck.

DCS oven model RGU-3GS-L will not heat up. need advise on what I can check before call a technican?

Hi Lou, sounds like you have a bad igniter. If it's not drawing enough amps it won't open the gas safety valve. Fairly simple to replace if you're confident working with electrical parts,if not I'd definitely call a repair company. Hope that helps.

The upper oven in my DCS WO227 is not heating properly. Two elements have been replaced, but they are still not heating.

I have attached a link to the service manual, there are relays that control the elements. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/703000/Dcs-Wo-227ss.html?page=42#manual

My DCS WOS-230SS top wall oven begins to heat up normally but then stops heating, the fan comes on, then begins heating up again. Got to 170 then went no higher. Could it be the element?

This is a tough question because we haven't mention the make and model number you should add that so we can help you better but normally if the top oven is not working properly it may have thermostat problem or it could also be control panel problem can you tell more information especially the make and model Sometimes you can take it out and it's not working properly and take that oven and put it in self-clean mode and it might fix problems

My DCS double oven will not turn on and the top display says lock. But both oven doors open.

is the control panel locked?i know this isn't your model because you didn't send the model number but maybe this will help you out https://www.fisherpaykel.com/vault/pdfs/pdf_usecares/590700A%20OB30DD%20quickstartA3%20USCA%20(EN)w.pdf also if you used the self clean the lock might have been damaged usually from the extra heat that's used when in self clean, the oven gets up to 1000 degrees and can damage the electronics in any stove or oven.but if you're pressing buttons and they don't seem to work the control lock most likely is on.
