Hi, it's Allan at Dyson.
The soft roller attachment is only for use on selected V6 machines. This unfortunately means that previous models such as the DC35 and DC44 are not compatible.

If your unit is set up for 120v (std American), I wouldn't suggest try 220. There are adapters, available that step down 220 to 120. Many of the people in the military who are stationed overseas (especially Europe) buy these devices for there US equipment. Try to "Google" 220 vac-120vac adapters. I'm sure there are places you can order them from.
Hi Barbara, it's Jack at Dyson.
In order to confirm why your DC35 may not be running correctly when fully charged, we'd need to take you through some simple diagnostic checks when you have your machine easily to hand. If a replacement part is needed, we can also confirm if this is covered under your Dyson warranty.
When you have a moment, please give our experts a call on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU) so we can provide further assistance.
Hi,
Looks like you've not shortage of advice on this issue. I would say that you have a thermal overload relay that is either bad, or going bad. If you don't have a warranty, you could open it up and try to find the relay and disconnect/bypass it. If this fixes the problem, do not continue to run. Immediately take the faulty relay up to Radio Shack or some other store that sells electronic components and such and replace it.
DO NOT CONTINUE TO RUN IT WITH OUT THIS RELAY, AS IT MAY RESULT IN IRREPARABLE DAMAGE TO THE UNIT OR EVEN FIRE!!!
Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.I'm sorry to hear the Mini motorised head isn't working correctly. If you haven't already checked it for any obstructions it would be worth doing this - make sure there are no threads or hair wrapped around the brush bar. If this doesn't resolve the issue we'll need to take you through some quick checks to determine whether the fault is with the Mini motorised head or the main body of the machine. Once we've pinpointed the fault we can confirm if we're able to resolve this under the terms of the machine's 2-year guarantee. Please give us a call on 0800 298 0298 (UK), or 1-866-693-9766 (US), when you have your machine to hand. We'll look forward to hearing from you.Best wishes,JackDyson Online Customer Supportwww.dyson.com
