Why does the check bag light come on when the bag is new on my riccar vacuum?

The light is indicating an obstruction somewhere. It is most likely in the hose or the suction tube the hose inserts into.

Simplicity 7350 brush roller will not agitate on carpet, suction is fine as is the belt.

Your belt may look fine but if it's over 6 months old it may be stretched and Is slipping. At the age your vacuum is there may be a minor worn part that your dealer could fix easily. You have a very durable long lasting vacuum but it could benefit from an occasional professional service. It will increase the life of your vacuum and save money in the long run.

Riccar brilliance fan replacement

Take off the bottom plate and the nozzle housing cover. Remove the motor cover to get to the direct air motor. This is not a difficult fix if you take your time to make sure you reassemble it properly

I have a Riccar 8000

Check to see that the belt is not stretched. You can check this by putting your hand under neath the machine and try to stop the brushroll. If it stops then the belt is stretched. I would also make sure that the clutch is engaged. There is a port on the back of these machines where the hose runs before going to the machine, make sure that the port is closed. The lower tube is easy to pull off if you take the 2 screws in the bottom plate that hold it in. These machines have a lot of suction and can clog with ease.

My riccar vacuum does not pick up anything

Check the belt and then the tube on the side of the vacuum that runs from the bottom to up the side to the bag. If they belt is broken the vacuum will not pick anything up. If that tube is clogged up with dirt that will keep the vacuum from picking up as well.
