For the others who follow I have the same model, same problem on a 2 year old purchase made in 2014. This unit has a pump (and a hose) to drain the condensate. The pump light started blinking about a week ago, turning cycling power worked for a while, until pumping stopped altogether. After investigating: -the hoses are not blocked but there was some algal growth in the tray which I cleaned -the pump no longer pumps. -my favorite parts suppliers and other on-line sources have no record of the model/parts etc. -Called "whirlpool" consumer line in manual -Whirlpool has been purchased by Garrison and that company has no parts for this discontinued model but did provide a phone number for the pump 800-799-0991. Unfortunately the cost of this small solenoid pump is $74. I will drain the condensate via gravity to a floor drain as I don't see spending that much for something that broke so quickly and appeared poorly made..

1. Check that the filter in the unit is clean.
2. Check that the room temperature is above 41 degrees.
3. Check that the humidity isn't set too low, recommended humidity is 45~50%
4. Make sure that the unit has plenty of space all around to allow for sufficient air circulation.

Your humidistat is stuck in the "on" position. Probably need to replace it.

Yes, these types of dehumidifiers use a compressor that warms the air to remove the water.

A dehumidifier works in a similar way to an air conditioner, cooling the air that passes through it so water vapour will condense and collect into a container. If the fans are working and air is circulating through the unit but no water is being collected the internal refrigeration system probably has a fault...

Could be the humidity is low enough it isn't turning on. Try to lower the humidity setting to see if it will turn on. Once the humidity gets down to about 50-55%, dehumidifiers don't work very well at pulling out the humidity..

Pull out bucket and see if the hose it attached to the drain connector/ sometimes it pulls away:

Code EH code indicates that the humidity sensor is malfunctioning. Needs to be replaced.

The manual says to contact customer service 866-827-4985. I believe the code refers to a sensor error.
