Depending on how old the TV is, you may have to resort to using the composite plugs (red, white, yellow) plugs instead of the HDMI or component plugs as used with newer hdtv's. Your XBOX should have these cords or adapters available within the packaging. Just double check that you have these in the back of your TV.
