Softwear not instaling

This might sound an obvious solution, but have you contacted the HP support staff through their help desk? I had a problem with the audio on mine and they came up with a solution that worked.

What operating system are you using? Is it Vista by any chance?

Wont read disc, instead says open tray

Try turning the xbox on and off. Try removing the power from the xbox and plugging it back in. Try other discs and see if it works. Try doing updates on your xbox360 and see if that fixes the problem. That fixed mine with Halo.

I get no audio or video from my XBOX 360

well, you could re-solder the terminal connections, but other than that not really. and if you attempt to solder it yourself and fail Microsoft wont fix it for you.

I have A Xbox360 Pro when I turn it on, it flashes red

these have been called the RRoD (Red Rings of Death) it usually means that your system is probably gone. the general cause for this is overheating. if your system is under the warranty still, contact microsoft about getting it fixed for free. if its not, you either will want to purchase a new one (i suggest an arcade and just switching out the HDD) or finding some way temporarily fix it.

E74 error

The first way to fix this error is actually really quite simple, it may just be your AV cable. The first thing that you can try is to unplug the AV cable and blow out any dust that may be built up in the connections. Then try hooking it back up and turning it on.
If you are still facing the error than try getting a new AV cable, or you can borrow one from a friend so that you don't buy a new cable if this is not the solution either. Once you have the new AV cable, plug it in, fire up your Xbox 360 and if the error is still occurring then you will have to move on to the next method of fixing the E74 Error.
If the AV cable didn't work then you are going to have to move on to a little bit of a more complex method to fix the error. It can still be fixed but the methods can't be explained in a single article.
You can find Xbox 360 repair guides on the Internet that have very detailed instructions on how to fix the E74 error as well as other errors like freezing, the no video problem and the red ring of death. These guides usually come with very detailed step-by-step instructions. The better guides will also include pictures and videos of the process so you can be sure that you will understand each step of the repair.
So if you have experienced the Xbox 360 E74 Error, it is not the end of your gaming days, you can fix it. Hopefully it is just your AV cable but if not there is still a solution out there if you are willing to do a little more research.
Good luck, and happy gaming!!!

It wont read 360 games but it reads original Xbox games

cd drive error, if its an older xbox thats what it would be, either that or disk read error thing, i would suggest taking it in somewhere and have people look at it. or check the xox 360 games to see if there are any big scratches. that would be a big problem if there r scratches.

My 360 recently got the ring of death. it was

wrap your xbox in a DRY towel and take all the cords out except the power cord, turn it on and let it overheat, this might fix your problem did for me and about 8 of my other buddies.
NOTE: the mistake most people make is using a wet or damp towel, this can ruin your xbox
