Watch doesn't work

It would be difficult to state with certainty, because it wouldn't likely be possible to determine how long the watch was in storage before you received it. Most watches will need batteries between 2-5 years after their manufacture.
Higher-priced watches could easily be that long on the shelf before sale, but I would contact the seller with your complaint. The seller should at least be conscientious enough to ensure the watch is running prior to shipment.

What battery do I need for a ESQ Swiss men watch model # E5081

Here where we live we have a store that replaces watch batteries. I took mine in and he took the back off and took the old battery out and went to his battery stock and replaced it for me. He did all the work and only charged me three dollars. He has batteries for all makes.
