If your oven uses silicone carbide ignitor and the ignitor is glowing the problem could be the ignitor is not drawing enough amps to open the gas valve. If the valve is open the ignitor will not glow. If the ignitor is bad it won't ohm out.

If your oven uses DSI (direct spark ignition) It may be that the gas distribution valve has a bad solenoid. The valve has 3 terminals: broil on top common in the middle and bake on bottom. You should get 216 ohms between broil and common and bake and common. If either one is open the valve needs to be replaced.

you have to be able to check the ignitor in the lower oven sounds like you have a weak ignitor when this happens it is taking to long for the oven to light and when it reaches to a tempreture it shuts off the ignitor in which case when it trys to reach to the tempreture that you have set it trys to ingnite again look to buy a new ignitor

grill switch will not turn on grill

check the voltage on the spark generator,should be 240dc or 110 ac.
or it could be the harness(wires fron spark generator to ignition) to check harness do a continuity test,an electricion will know,or get a electirc tester and do it with the instructions.

I do not know either but I would be tempted to turn off the gas, but keep the electric to the oven, and use a plastic Knitting needle to find out. It should show on a display somewhere.

Sometimes when I clean my cooker, and it gets damp, mine ignites like that. It soon stops after it dries out. Give it chance and see.

hi everyone, i hope this helps.
you may need to take the oven out and use a vacuum cleaner to **** out the dust from the back of the oven, i found that this is the cause for ovens not lighting and grill not working, its a simple thing to do, just pull the oven out and at the back you will see where all th dust has accumulated, just vacuum it out
and it should work. i have had so many problems that i am going to replace the whole piece of **** now that the fans have packed up !
stoves know that the ovens are rubbish and unreliable, but have done nothing to help (even the engineers know this)

Our oven had the same fault.

It turns out that the air intake was blocked.

The air intake is at the front, just below the bottom oven door. Some liberal sucking with a hoover sorted the problem instantly.

the light bulb is screw type so turn only. with heat, bulb can jammmed over time so you may have to break it and get a pair of plyers on the cap. turn off power to do this

Try unpluging the oven or shut off at breaker for 30 seconds to reset it.
