My Breadman Ultimate is not working; it is receiving power, because the light turns on when the lid is opened. The screen is blank, however, and nothing happens when I push the buttons. There is also no tone when it is plugged in (usually there is).
(N.B. I think there may be two variants of the Ultimate Plus, TR2500BC. They can be
distinguished by the number of rivets in the pan, 3 or 4. Mine has 3.)
I had a similar problem. Holding down the Reset button and plugging
or unplugging the machine didn't work for me. (Note: I've been
pretty careful to hold the Reset button when I unplug the machine
after baking a loaf.) This procedure worked for me:
1. Unplug the machine.
2. Remove the plastic keypad housing. There are three screws: left,
right, rear. (Note: One has a different thread from the others.)
3. Rock the housing back and forth to remove it.
4. Remove the white protective cover. It has two screws.
5. (You *did* unplug the machine, didn't you?)
6. Identify the ribbon cable and locate where its connector seats on
the circuit board.
7. The circuit board has little printed labels opposite each pin.
At one end are the labels GND, VCC, VDD, in order.
8. Short together GND and VCC with a small piece of wire by sticking
the ends of the wire into the top of the connector to touch the contacts.
9. Do the same with GND and VDD.
10. The machine should work now. With the keypad housing, circuit
board, and cables safely away from the metal body, plug the machine in.
You should hear a beep, and all should be well.
11. Rejoice, be glad, and make some bread.

The shaft that turns the paddle keeps coming loose and falls out the bottom of the bread pan.
There is a small clip on the bottom it speads to loosen it off the shaft if this is missing a clip can be obtained at a auto parts store and then you will be back in business.
Put the shaft out and clean and oil it with olive oil, peanut oil or wok oil.
Then put it back together.

All In One Hor4izontal Deluxe breadmake included a recipe book. The 'Best Ever Sweet Dough' recipe appears incorrect; shouldn't there be some liquid in it. I wasted 3 eggs, 4 1/2 c. flour etc and ended up with lumpy dough. Please advise.

Does it help?

This Breadman Ultimate model TR2200C was working fine when I used it 6 months ago. This week I plugged it in and pressed start, and it displayed the error code " --H "which means "the internal temperature of the breadmaking compartment is over 100 degrees and the machine must cool before starting a new cycle."
Since I haven't used the machine in months, The interior compartment is at room temperature (about 70 degrees) not above 100. It seems like the temperature sensor may be at fault. I called Breadman tech support and they said since it is over 1 year old, there is no warranty coverage and they do not offer repairs or even a referral to a repair center! They just suggested I buy a new one for $125.00.
Who can help me figure out what's wrong and fix it? Thank you...
I had the same problem recently, however my machine was in use. I unplugged the breadmaker, let it sit and cool. After 1/2 an hour, It was functioning properly. If this doesn't solve the problem, after plugging IN try holding STOP/RESET button for 3-4 seconds.
worth trying...

The paddle on my TR2200C is very wobbly. Seems I recall it was a fairly smooth snug fit up til a few loafs ago (three years). Replacement paddle same. Axle and shaft in the baking pan are secure, so I'm assuming wear on the paddle shaft in the pan, which is confusing since the shaft is steel and the paddle is aluminum.
Anyway, I've looked on the web for a replacement pan assembly, with no success. Can't find any kind of parts number or customer service number for Salton, so where can I go for a replacement pan assembly?
Thanks.

I have used my new machine twice. Both times the bread pan pops out during kneading. I re-seat the pan and everything runs smoothly. Once the bread is done baking and I try to remove the bread pan I can't pull it out. I have tried bending the side clips and ultimately (with a lot of force) I just end up yanking the thing out. I am worried I am going to break the machine. Is this normal? The manual says I should be able to easily remove the pan. Is there something I am supposed to do before removing the bread pan?
I have Breadman Ultimate for over 12 years now. I make bread 2-3 times a week for the past 10 years. I found that the bread pan popping out only happens when the motor shaft and the kneading paddle are not tightly engaged. I find this problem in the following two scenarios: 1. The bread pan was not pushed down all the way as described by cassie_hobbs and tlcquiltnut. 2. Debris filled up the motor-shaft bowl underneath the bread pan to prevent a tight engagement of the motor shaft and the kneading paddle. These debris are generated during the kneading process; part of the ingredients is pushed out of the shallow horizontal pan and accumulated underneath. To avoid the problem, I have to periodically remove debris from the shaft bowl and make sure the pan pushed all the way down. To reduce the debris, I made a simple cover for the bread pan by cutting an old aluminum baking dish. I always remove the cover after the kneading cycle to prevent the rising dough from reaching the bottom of the cover. Hope this helps. Wendy

After 5 years of service backing pan starts to leak through the spindel compression. I guess it is not repairable and needs replacement.
Can you suggest where can I buy replacement? What is the right manufacturer part number.
Michael
I was finally able to find a same size of heavy duty shaft seal from McMaster-Carr and installed on the pan with liquid weld after greased its inside. I put an extra washer on the shaft as well since the shaft itself was worn a little and wobbled . I needed a new snap ring to secure the spindle in place. Old one was rusted and disappeared.
Our bread machine is now back to work and we enjoy having a tasty bread every morning again.

"- - H" appears in display. What does it mean?
that is a temperature alert to advise the user that the oven chamber is too hot to begin breadbaking. This usually happens when a loaf of bread has been baked and a 2nd one is attempted before the breadmachine has cooled off.
