Sounds like the temperature control is bad. If it's digital you'll probably have to replace the circuit board. if it's a control knob, it's the mechanism behind the knob.

with x height x depth = cubes remember to measure the inside of the oven. not the outside 23 x 29 x height / 1728 = cubic feet you divide it by 1728 because that is how many cubic inches there is in one cubic foot (12x12x12)

you will need to have a gas registered engineer who can do cookers for this to be done as they have to be registered with gas safe you cannot just " work" on gas appliances. Sorry

The top cooling fan is not working which cools the electrics above the oven and the control panel at the front. It could be the fan is faulty , the pcb which controls it is faulty - inside back panel on right. There is also a resistor on the power to the fan which burns out. All easy do it yourself fixes if you are electrical competent.

take off side panels and i think you will find that is where the securing screws are

The most probable cause is failure in your panel cooling fan 9not the one inside your oven)

If the appliance switches on again after 15 - 20 minutes then the fault is most likely here.

Unfortunately as you have gas the you will need a Gas Safe Certified engineer to repair

Sounds like it could be the thermal cut out switch - I am having a similar problem. The switch is about £10 delivered from the Stoves spares dept. I can't work out how to open the top to change the switch though! Have you managed to solve the problem and can you add anything re opening the top?!
