I could not come up with assembly instructions, but I did find a picture of how it goes together...should help you a lot if you are somewhat mechanically inclined.

Are you asking about how to loosen the knob on the tank or how to remove the tank from the grill's holder?
If you're trying to turn the tank valve to ON, you turn the knob Counter Clockwise. If you trying to remove the On/Off knob itself, you remove the screw in the center of the knob. Most require a Star Head screw driver of bit to do this. Be sure the tank valve if completely OFF, before attempting this.

To remove the tank from the grill holder, simply lift the holder off the top rim of the tank. It may be snug, so it sill require some force.

same problem as other posted. If you turn on the propane bottle valve too quickly, it activates the safety valve and shuts it off until you get it turned on with a device your dealer (mine was Amerigas) puts his tool in it to reset it. DON't turn these valves open fast in the futuere. A nail inserted and a strike with hammer may fix it, but I recommend your gas dealer.

You have the wrong orfices in the gas manifold...they are too big and they are allowing too much gas out...if you are running LP gas and you have natural gas orfices it will do that...that is what I think your problem is...

Yes. otherwise the grill will get to cold to cook propoerly.

try cleaning the burner and the orffice , check reg is giving right pressure

blocked burner or blocked gas injector clean both if this does not work check reg

Disconnect tank, hook back up, open slowly everytime you use grill. If this doesn't solve problem, valve on tank is probably stuck and tank will need to be replaced.

Hate to be a smart ***, but if you dont have the tank hose screwed all the way pass the O-ring then the check valve on the fitting will not compress. Thats all I got. Good Luck

Ok on the propane tank valve there will be a black assy. connected to the output side of the valve, if this is the black knob you are talking about it might be stuck if this is the case you might take a pair of slip joint pliers and try taking it loose that way looking at the knob from the front with the tank behind you it will turn counter clokwise to loosen it.

Typically, if a product is discontinued, you will have much more trouble trying to find parts. You CAN ask the Manufacturer if they are aware of any universal parts that are comparable. I just don't think this would help you that much. I'd recommend you get a new product.
