Your amp is not tuned properly. You may have to turn down the gain.

I have seen circuit traces litterally burn up from reverse polarity. Also the capacitors on the 12 volt main line can smoke and causing the DC/DC circuit not to function. Traces can be repaired with the proper sized copper tape and capacitors are cheap. The only way to be sure is to open the unit up, look for strange liquids and evidence of burn or fire.

There is a internal problem with it.Or it is not hooked up poperly.

It could be a number of things? 1 to many subs, speakers wired to the amp causing it to overheat and making the thermal light come on. 2 It all depends were your amp is. If it's clear and nothing covering it, obstructing it, Ie sub in front of it, amp inbetween the rear seats and sub.

try to pull the fuse....may reset the amp...but more than likley there has been some kind of internal damage ....ie... water damage or bad speaker connected etc....

1st check to see if the RCA's are plugged in if they are make sure the speakers are plugged in. Check at the amp and at the sub Alson check the input voltage switch. JL Audio Slash series amps have a high/low switch for your input voltage. And the last thing I can think of is if your using a remote wire to turn the amp in make sure the signal sensing switch is off. If your not using a remote wire turn it on....Hope this helps

So your saying that you bought the amp and it was loud? And now it's not loud anymore? Check the settings on your amp and turn it down or up (in your case) and make sure your stereo has your bass up or how ever else you would like it
