I think you may have the model # incorrect, However if you have a thermostat as in the type that are hand held, polarity of the batteries is the 1st thing I would check, then test them for proper voltage, corrosion will often interrupt that small of a voltage, clean the terminals and test it . A wall mounted like a central HVAC system typically will not require batteries to operate, this is for memory and they will work fine even if no batteries are installed, however there are battery powered stats too, meaning non parasitic type that not powered by the transformer in the air handler. you should have a 'hold temp' option on your remote, it should then stay at the set temp until you change it

I can't see a thermostat for the reference given (30124). According to my listings that's an air conditioner.

Moisture has got in to laminated panels. Seal anything near it weel as that is most likely place that moisture entered. Window, molding, door, water heater, furnace etc near it'?

Look at the cooling fan it shod come on when the ac is on if it dose the look at the 134A

Hello, there is a examination you must pass in order to purchase refrigerant. There are many differant organizations that provide testing such As RSES or your local Heating amd Cooling supply store.

Kinz, there are several things to troubleshoot,

1. Check the air intake filter for dirt or clogs.

2. While you have the front off to remove the filter, look at the cooling coils to see if they have frosted over. If so, turn the unit OFF,Unplug it and allow it to thaw completely. Once it has thawed, clean the coils, by wiping them with a damp rag of luke warm water. Dry them as best you can and what you can't reach, allow to air dry. Then spray a light coating of WD40 on them. Also check the cooling fins. If they are dusty, use a vacuum cleaner that has a hose and brush attachment to clean them. Reassemble all the parts, plug the unit back in, turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON and set your thermostat to the temp you want to maintain. Give it about 30 minutes to run, before checking it again. Hopefully, this solved the problem.

If not, worse case scenario is, one of the condenser circuits has failed and needs to be replaced. Or the compressor is low on R14 refrigerant gas and needs to be recharged. Either one should be checked and repaired by an authorized service technician, because it requires the proper equipment to service and repair those two things.

Normally Red to R (24v coming to stat) White to W (Heat) Green to G (Blower)
Yellow to Y (Air conditioning) Blue to C (common)
This is assuming you have gas heat and central air conditioning. If you have a heat pump blue would be for that. If you have a volt meter, check voltage between red and blue with furnace turned on. It will be 24 volts approx. if blue is common.

This sounds like a bad thermostat, but it could be a bad heating coil, if that's what they use in this unit. You can get parts for it at SearsDirect online:

Since Sear's has sold and serviced this brand, I would call a Sear's Appliance Center and see what they think the problem is. They usually know, or have a good idea, of what's failing, since they're the ones that deal with it.
If you're handy with a voltmeter, you can check the output of the thermostat, and if it's good, then ohm out the coil, or check for a thermocouple, if the unit has one.
I read that they do have a 1 year limited warranty, so you might check into that, if applicable.
