Dell PowerEdge 1900 (becwpk1) Dual Core Intel Xeon 5110, 4MB Cache, 1.60GHz, 1066MHz FSB 80GB/1000MB Server Questions & Answers
I have dell power edge 1900 ,when we press power button the server work for 5 seconds until the screen shows F2,F9,F12 and then make restart
Check with the manufacturer first, they could save you lots of time figuring out the problem. There are so many things that can make a computer do this, that it is much easier to take your computer to an expert and allow them to run a diagnostic on it, a lot of the box stores do this now for a reasonable price, as well as your local computer stores. Who ever you choose, make sure you understand how they are going to go about it, if it is simply replacing parts to which works, don't use them!
The problem could be simple to complex. Depending upon your ability, you can get into bios by hitting the f2 key when requested, then looking into the bios and seeing if your hard drive is ok, are your other drives showing up, etc.
Good luck, Curt

Namrata_stha,
The I912 error is referring to the System Event Log is full of events and because of this is unable to log anymore. You must clear the log in order for the Server Management controller to log any more events. Now depending on the OS installed there are different ways to clear it. If Windows Server 2k8 you would use this command - wevtutil el ' foreach { wevtutil cl $_ }
Where with Server 2003 you can go tot he Event viewer and clear it.
Let me know if this helps.

Best is to find a support or systems engineer on http://www.qual.ch if you are in Switzerland and for the UK you can find find a top Dell expert or systems specialist on http://qualifind.co.uk -- I just asked one (from Qualifind) and was informed you just need to install Openmanage and clear the logs from there, no need to down the server.
