Code 10 network adapter

Have been connected to internet fine. Unaware of any changes to PC but suddenly I can't connect, have an exclamation mark next to teredo tunneling pseudo interface and a code 10 associated with microsoft tun miniport adapter! What happened and how do I fix it? Already searched everywhere for drivers without success.

Teredo tunneling is a method of tunneling IPV6 traffic over an IPV4 network.99.9999999% of the networking in the world is IPv4 so why vista would want to change it is beyond me but yet another failing of Vista no wonder it's being replaced this year I just feel sorry for the mugs that have it and are still being sold it!

However back to your problem and a solution t's simple just do the following and you should be OK

To uninstall IPv6 from a computer using the command prompt
1. Open Command Prompt.

2. At the command prompt, type ipv6 uninstall, and then press ENTER.

DELL Computer Owners: This is primarily a problem with Dell Computers, 15** series and up with the installed "DataSafe Online" software. You must uninstall all DataSafe Online software (usually three separate programs in the Windows Uninstall/repair prgrams list you access from control panel), then if you desire to continue to use it, reinstall the software with the disk that was provided with your computer.

This comes directly from Dell advanced Tech Support. Let me know if it works for you as it has me.

All Browser URL's redirect to Tazinga.com

Windows Vista operating system computer seems to have malware that redirects all browser URLs to a Tazinga.com search engine. I am posting on behalf of a friend because he cannot access any web pages from his computer.
Do you know of any good malware removal products that i could download and send to his email for installation on his machine? Does this seem like a good solution?
Or, do you have a process that he could follow on his machine to remove the malicious software?
Thanks for your help!

There is only one application I would recommend in a situation like this: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, available here. (The installer is 3.7 MB, if you can send that great.) It has been proven over and over, and is one of the standard tools in use at many of the malware removal forums. I recommend your friend attempt to follow at least the first four steps of these malware removal protocols.
The preliminary steps will help to safeguard his system, and speed the scan. If he can't install MBAM for some reason, he can rename the installer and/or the mbam.exe file to get it to run.
Other good forums for help with malware are here, here, and here.
If the preliminary cleaning does not remove the malware, I suggest he open a thread at one of those forums and request guided expert assistance. With supervision, there are other tools that can work to remove insidious rootkits, etc. It sounds like he has some kind of browser hijacker, but it's hard to say what else. In any event, Erunt & MBAM is a good place to start. Tell him also to set a system restore point, but to use Erunt to do a full registry backup before he starts changing things, just in case he needs to revert back for some reason...
Good luck!

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

Tazinga highjacker

I also had this tazinga problem where many windows would popup at various times and direct to diverse websites. Also when doig a search even on google I was redirected to Tazinga's page. When I tried to access a page, either from Tazinga or from Google or even by entering the URL directly in Explorer, I might be redirected to some unrelated other page. The program appears to defend itself because i could not acces Malwarebytes's download page nor Spybot's nor Highjackthis'.

This is a new problem that happened this week. So I simply restored my computer (I'm on Vista) to an earlier date (start of August) and it apparently solved the issue. I have since simply gone throught the update process for my programs and everything seems to be fine.

Too bad thought that McAfee which is installed on my computer could not detect anything.

This is the response I wrote to your friend when he inquired about your browser hijacker. (see here.)
Have you tried installing MBAM and running a scan since doing the system restore? I would recommend it, just to be safe. Or you could follow the steps to create a post of your HijackThis logs and have somebody knowledgable take a look at it.
McAfee is not one of the highest rated AV apps out there these days, though few can prevent you from unsafe browsing habits. See AV Comparatives for a 3rd party review of the various AV programs and how they stack up against one another. Avira is a good free one, if you're interested. All of them should be supplemented by a good antispyware program, like Defender or SuperAntiSpyware, and an occasional online scan.
Finally, have a look at this page, this page, and this one for some good information about spyware & malware in general, and safe browsing in particular.
I'm glad to hear that you were able to restore safely out of that situation.
Once your system is safely scanned and shipshape, you should create a new restore point, label it as safe, then remove all the older restore points by following these instructions. That will remove even a restore point that still contains the BHO you had problems with. If you find yourself downloading things from the net, uncertain or not of the content, it's a good practice to set restore points ahead of time to create a safe haven, just in case. The complete site for more info on system restore is here.
Best Regards,
