if you go to control panel, click programs, then under programs and features click view installed updates, you can click the updates you wish to uninstall and it'll do it for you

This issue may occur when one or more of the .dll files that are used by the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) are missing or corrupted. These files include the following:

While in safe-mode, open the Start Menu and click "Run"Type "MSCONFIG" in the dialog box and hit Enter.Under the boot tab, uncheck the "boot in safe mode" check-box.Restart your PC.

Your first step will be backup your important files. Don't write anything to your disk, before you do that. Every file is not deleted, it has just replace first letter with special sign (mark for deleted). If you don't write to disk, special programs can recover it (You need undelete tool program). To backup your important files, you can use live-linux DVD (Mint-linux is good). Write iso image from Mint web page with burning software to DVD, put into DVD and start computer. After that you can put memory stick and backup files from disk to stick. After that you can try to recover Windows (press F8 button when computer start, and going to "Safe mode with networking") You can go to ESET (Nod32) and download off-line tools for viruses cleaning. If you are sure that you have not viruses, you can try to recover Windows. When you are press F8, you have solution for choose previous state of Windows. Be careful, it is last step, and it will change Windows to before state. Windows will be like in the time when you install first time. If this is not good enough, you can only reinstall Windows. From Mint DVD, you can install Mint linux like backup multiboot solution. It will not have viruses problem. I suggest Mint, because I have Musical studio on that OS, and it look like Windows (It is based on Ubuntu linux). Good luck! If you need more information, just ask... what usually happens is when an operating system is infested with loads of virus. Restored files usually gets corrupted. this usually happens with windows vista and windows 7. Please try a repair of your system, with Vista, its repair is installing without formating the hard disk drive. this method will give u a fresh installation but you will not lose any personal files. it will give a name to the old windows as windows old. i hope this works for you

Sounds like you need to activate your Windows operating system by entering your Windows Vista product key and activating online or by calling Microsoft's activation hotline. Once the genuine Microsoft operating system is activated, it will never expire.

You can purchase it through Microsoft.com and it will activate just fine.

I have seen this on IE8, with things like hotmail and yahoo. Try downloading google chrome or firefox, and logging into your email to send a mail, then enter the "code" otherwise known as a captcha. I have seen issues with IE 8 and 9 and Captcha's not being displayed correctly so it becomes impossible to enter the proper code.

You will want to use three different products, First goto download.com and get hitmanpro32 it is a 30 day free trial, run it first, then download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and do a full scan with it. After these two run, then goto bleepingcomputer.org and get combofix. Between these three programs, this should clean out that rootkit. If you don't run all three you may not get clean.

Try disabling some start up programs. These can slow down your overall boot time.

This sounds like your PC could be overheating. Check for proper airflow inside of the case and use compressed air to remove dust. If the problem persists your may have a bad fan that is not properly cooling your PC.

I can definitely help you on your question. Let's troubleshoot. First, please click the speaker icon on the System Tray. Check if the mute has a check. Or if you don't see any speaker icon. Please go to the Control Panel. Go to start and click Control Panel, then search for Sounds. A new window will show up, you can see in that window the speaker icon. Please click the icon and a new window will appear again. Now go to Level Tab, please check if the small speaker icon has a no sign and the level of the volume is on the right side. If there is a no sign just click it to remove it, if there's none. Please go back to the Control Panel, and go to Systems. Once you are on the Systems, click the Device Manager link that is on the left top side of the page. Now you can see all the hardware of your computer. If you see a yellow exclamation point under the category of Sound,Video and Game Controllers, there is a problem but you don't need to panic. All you have to do is right click on the item that has a yellow exclamation point and select Update Driver Software. Then a new window will show up, click the first option and that is Search automatically for updated driver software. Now, it should work. If the sound still doesn't work, you need to buy a new sound card for your computer.

Do you have a virus on the computer. Try going to safe mode with networking and restore your computer to an earlier date to which it worked fine.( You can goto safe mode with networking by - restart your computer and start pressing the F8 button repeatedly till you get the new boot options menu)Else you can go to safe mode and install the free software Malwarebytes and run a scan.I have had the similar kind of issue and was not aware what to do.
