This usually confirms that there is a problem with the product. Have you tried to contact the seller?

On Ebay, there is a buyer's protection policy. You could go to ebay and file a dispute and leave negative feedback for the seller. This would be a big hit to the seller. Moreover, you always have an option to dispute the charge with the credit card company. Unfortunately, these are the only way to resolve the problem.

I wish i could have a better solution.

When such problems occur the first thing to do is identify the meaning of the error message. The error message above has a follow up in the program which says click ok to continue. When you clicked ok what was the next thing that happened?
Also try restarting your unit and installing the program again.

You need to contact Rosetta Stone to resolve this. If the software requires activation, they should be able to reissue that you the new PC.

temporarily disable avast and try it again. if it works it is a AV setting, otherwise maybe your internet provider is blocking. Remember to re-enable avast as soon as possible

You can contact Rosetta Stone. If you bought a license they ought to give you the activation code. Maybe it is in the box your software came in, or in the message for a purchase confirmation from Rosetta Stone.
