2004 Lexus RX 330 Questions & Answers
I have a 2004 Lexus RX330 and last week the backup
With a backup camera I installed on my wife's Pathfinder, there was a power wire that connected to the backup light power. So when the backup lights came on in reverse, the camera got power, sent a video signal to the dash radio screen, and it would automatically switch to that input. You might have a bad wire/connection supplying power to the camera.
No heat/airconditioning in Lexus RX 330
The warning lights are probably not related to no heat, unless the engine is low on coolant. It sounds like a problem with the blend doors under the dash, or the main controller. You may need a shop manual to diagnose it.
Cruise control engages sometimes
Hi. Sorry but the question isn't clear. I know that the cruise control can be repaired. But what type of diagnostic information are you looking for? To find the source of the failure my shop would run diagnostics. Possible failures would include faulty blake light switch, worn or dirty cruise control switch, broken clock spring or issue with power or ground. Please write back and let me know what you are looking for. I will be more than happy to help.

I suggest you try one of those instant download manuals. My brother ( a mechanic) buys it when he can't fix some technical issue He buys from

Could be the neutral safety switch. Pull out the start relay and interrogate the relay socket with a volt/ohmmeter. One terminal should always show zero ohms to ground. One terminal should show 12vdc when the key is turned to start. One terminal should show a few ohms to ground (this terminal goes to the starter solenoid). The last terminal should show 12vdc from the pcm when the transmission is in park or neutral. This is the signal I suspect you will not get. If I am right, remove the neutral asfety switch and test it with an ohnmeter. Your diagram is at the link below.

2004 Lexus RX 330 Transmission Slipping
If you haven't already, try draining the transmission fluid and replacing it with new. It's recommended to complete this service every 60,000 miles. Also try adding Rislone transmission additive. It worked wonders on my Ford Escape! If you have the fluid changed by someone else, it's advisable to NOT flush the system. The pressure caused by vacuuming it out could create more harm than good.
