Sharp aquos bd-hp210 will not
I OWN A BD-HP210U I DOWNLOADED THE LATEST FRAMEWARE BUT HERE'S THE THING, I LIVE IN COLOMBIA SO I DON'T IF IT IS A GOOD IDEA TO USE THE UPDATE, WHO CAN HELP HERE
I downloaded the firmware update for my sharp
There are usually two reasons that this happens 1. is that the file needs to be extracted first to the root of the drive ie. not in any folders. 2. is that some of the older sharp products won't reckonize any usb memory larger than 1GB. As is the case with my 52' Sharp AQUOS Special Edition LC-52SE94u TV. Could not read a 2GB Kingston, but reads the 1GB Kingston just fine to update firmware. And Sharp doen't tell you this not even in the online how to firmware update page.
Hope this solver you problem,
Scott
BD-HP21U problems playing discs
You have inadvertently downloaded the US (or other region) version of the firmware. Unfortunately if you try and download the UK version the HP21 just tells you you have already installed it. I was told mine the only way to reset it is for it to be sent to Sharp or you can wait for a new firmware update.
Blu ray player wont play some movies
If you go to sharp global web site, choose your country then go to downloads to download update, can be done for cd or usb stick, if you use cd version can burn to disk using nero 9 which is availble as free trail on net. then put disk in player and it will update on own. should correct problem
My blue ray won't play blue ray disc's it's
You can try getting it professionally cleaned but it sounds like you need a mechanism unit and that exceeds the cost of a new bluray player substantially. Make sure you have gone into the menu and under software update there is system reset. Make sure you have completed that system reset and make sure you have the latest software update installed. Sometimes after playing a movie you have to complete that system reset in the menu and the reset whereby you hold down the power button ON THE UNIT ITSELF NOT ON THE REMOTE CONTROL until the unit says reset.
Will not read disc
As it's less than a year old the manufacturer's warranty should still apply.
Your player probably has a failed laser head unit; if you have to pay to fix this fault then you'd be better off just chucking it away and buying a replacement as it will be cheaper.
Avatar menu keeps poping up while the movie is playing
Make sure that the blu ray player is indicating that the latest firmware is installed on it. Press the setup button go to settings and down to version. Then record the version number. If it is the most current firmware version number after all call 800-237-4277 pressing 1 for all of the prompts. Inform the representative that with the firmware version number installed on your bluray player you are having this problem with Avatar. This helps because Sharp is
gathering information on any occurrences after an update and they are working on another update to resolve any occurrences
Sharp BD-HP21U firmware update failed. Now it only
Firmware is tricky and the manufacturer wont warranty any installation of it except by their factory techs. There are too many things that are out of their control. IF you could tell us what steps you took to install it, that might be helpful.
I have a Sharp Aquos
Go to the manufacturers product support website of the Blueray player and check for updated firmware releases.
Blu-ray discs all of the sudden incompatible and won't play
Look for a firmware upgrade for your player. They exist for sole purpose of increasing compatibility with newer blu ray releases. If that does not do the trick it appears that your player's laser assembly is losing its ability to focus on the disk(s). Repair is not cost effective and you will have to go shopping.
