Viper Security and Remote Start System (basic install included) - Page 6 Questions & Answers
2006 Trailblazer & Viper 5301 with XK01
The brown should be the one you use (secondary accessory)
The fan/ac selection must be made by you via the temp control knobs.
If they are set to off - the fans wont just come on... they have to be selected ON, and to the desired temperature.
The alarm simply provides the 12V signal to the relay allowing power to the accessories.
Did you install this yourself?
Is the secondary ignition wired up too??
There could be other problems associated with the fans not coming on as well... electrical troubleshooting is difficult without actually being IN the vehicle.
Your local DEI dealer should be able to sniff out the problem in no time, and get you running for under $35.

What is the aux button for?
(AUX BUTTON) silent mode tm and an optioal auxiliary function are controlled by pressing this button.(silet mode works by pressing this button for less than 1 second before arming or disarming.an optional auxiliary function, such as trunk release, can be controlled by pressing this button for 1.5 seconds.)
Viper remote stopped working!
First things first. Check the fuse that powers your alarm system. If that seems to be ok then try the next simple option. Open the hood and disconnect the negative battery cable. Then turn the ignition to the start position for approximately three minutes. This will allow for any remaining energy to dissipate from your system. Now you can reconnect the negative cable. *** Before trying your alarm *** turn the ignition on and off 3 times quickly. Make sure you don't start the vehicle. Now you can exit the vehicle and try your alarm. FYI you can always stop at a nearby Best Buy store for additional assistance. They are usually very helpful. Good luck and best regards, Rico...
Viper 690XV Installing with INT-SL Data interface module
The number 2 pin on my cars OBD II is the data carrier which is then connected to the purple wire of the INT-SL Data Interface Module.
Data Interface Modules are becoming the standard for alarms and remote starter installations. These modules will make installations 75% faster and more accurate. I also recommend using Posi Taps to tap into your OBD II.
This a safe and 100% effective reversible method of connecting wires without crimping, cutting, or soldering. If you have any questions feel free to drop me a line or simply Google: "Posi Taps" by posi products. For Interface modules Google: "INT-SL". Good luck with your next installation. And remember the has endless resources providing you take time out to research them.
By the way my Viper install was a sucess.
Best regards,
Rico
Where do i install viper on my 2000 honda crv
Well you do not want to install the "brain" in obvious places so this will depend on you. the device with the horn on it would go under the hood where there is space.
1. The brain would need to be put where only you know where it is at.
2. the rest is forthcomming and would go under the hood.
I hope this does help you!

Viper Remote Start, Jeep Grande Cherokee, Going crazy!
no - unfortunately "any mechanic" does not have the training to troubleshoot an alarm system, and a dealership does not work on anything aftermarket.
Your best bet is to visit DEI (Directed Electronics Inc.) website and find an authorized dealer near you... most likely a car audio shop.
Best Buy usually hires newbies as installers and they dont have much experience... Look for an independant shop.
CLICK HERE to go to the Viper Site. (Find a Store is at the top of the page)
The brain module cannot be repaired - the ignition and starter relays are integrated on the controller board. Since it is 2 years old - there may not be a replacement part available.
Good Luck!!

I cant disarm my alarm
Get inside the car, turn the key to the on position, the alarm is going to sound so do not panic when the alarm sounds press the valet button one time and the alarm should stop. To place the alarm in valet mode cycle the key with the door open on then off then press the valet button one time and the alarm should go into valet mode meaning the alarm light will be on steady.
CAR ALARM
Try to panic the alarm if that does not work then your siren is probably bad also check the wiring leading to the siren to make sure it is connected......
Viper 771 Remote start/Alarm
the viper alarm is malfunctioning , it is supposed to bypass the key ignition and or chip in the key to allow it to start , you will need to look for a reset button( under the dash and just two wires going to the button)( stuffed under the dash ) ( not the switch) , this should let you start it but if the alarm components that control that bypass is to far gone then this will not help and the alarm will need repair , replaced or removed
