The remote start will work on any vehicle that has fuel injection... So yes it will work on your truck

You are having problems with the car reading the transponder in the key. Take apart the steering column and there should be a coil ring around the key cylinder. Move the ring closer to the outside of the key cylinder. If that doesnt work then you may have a problem with the interface module.

Hello, I had the same problem with my unit. You will need the manual and you have to locate the valet button, luckily the install shop showed me where it was, (My daughter was not as fotunate,I had to find it) If you cannot locate the valet button try to inquire where it was installed and they may be able to point you in the right direction.
What you will need is the manual so that you can program the alarm and find out how many chirps are for what, and the ignition key. Its not complicated, but it can be a pain.

Short story: My Key is a "parental watch" sort of feature. It allows parents to program certain features into (or out of) the vehicle by programming individual keys. In this way, they can better control what their little pudding heads do while they are driving Mommy and Daddy's two ton rolling weapon.

For My Key to work correctly, the individual My Key itself must be used to start the car. So when remote start is used, the engine must be momentarily shut off and restarted for the Control system to recognize the individual MyKey and the proper programming to take effect.

The only way to override this feature is for the Dealer to completely disable My Key. And my understanding is that the owner (you) must then sign releases stating that you understand the repercussions and agree to accept any liability.

If it's NOT a FORD, please reply with the make/model of the alarm.

Yes it is their problem if they installed it. Most likely unplugged a wiring harness by accident (or even cut into wrong wire or cut wrong wire) under the dash. Tell them you want you money back unless they fix it.

Good grief.........where is the installation guide.........on viper web sight the guide is merely how to program the damn remote.....all 40 pages..

Are you having a problem?Your component has digital technology which has a tendency to 'lock up'.A reset solution for your problem is to simply unplug it for 5 minutes and plug it back in.That should fix your problem.If it is easier to pull the circuit breaker,that is fine also.Digital components are defined mainly as things which are programmable such as ovens and refrigerators with LCD or LED displays,thermostats,DVR's,answer machines,TV's and much more.Some things which are not exactly programmable but can be reset the same way are video game consoles,modems,battery operated devices,telephones.If it is battery powered,simply disconnect it from the battery or remove the batteries for 5 minutes then retry it.Please do not approve/disapprove this yet as it will cut off our link unless your problem is solved.If you have any questions or need more help,just comment here and I will get an autolink to your post and reply ASAP.

Turn on your ignition and press the valet button switch under the dash and the alarm will turn off.

No key in ignition, door wide open, press lock-unlock-lock within one second. That will valet the alarm and the led will light up steady. Follow same instructions to remove alarm from valet mode.

You have to turn your ignition on and press the valet button switch, to turn off the alarm. Then, you have to use that same valet button to learn the remote to your alarm, following the steps in the installation manual.

disarm system get inside the car turn key to ON position with door OPEN push the black valet button one time turn key off
now your out of Valet mode
or

open your door hit ARM then DISARM then ARM and that should also remove Valet mode if you don't know where the valet button is at.

if it still lock/unlocks but doesn't start then check the on/off toggle switch inside the car which is usually by the drivers kick panel

arm/lock disarm/unlock remote start trunk output (if connected) function

It's red/white usually pin 1 on the big harness
