How an i upload videos
You need to use the supplied Sansa Media Converter program to convert videos (and photos) to a format the Sansa can handle. If you don't have the SMC, you can download the Windows version from
here.
Its not playing videos
First step -- Download a PDF copy of the Sansa View manual. Here's a link:http://www.google.com/search?client=ubuntu&channel=fs&q=sansa+view+manual&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8There are two likely reasons for the video not to work;1) The software that runs your Sansa View, known as 'firmware', is outdated;2) Your video requires conversion before you download it.1) Firmware update?Download a copy of the Sansa Firmware Updater from here:http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4431Start it on your computer, and follow the directions to update your Sansa View's firmware, if needed.2) Download and install the Sansa Media Converter (SMC) from the same link above. --Plug in your Sansa View to the computer, and run the SMC.--Follow the directions to select your video. SMC processes one video at a time for upload into your Sansa player.Another possibility - Try loading video from Windows Media Player 11;From the manual, page 17--"Your Sansa View player supports MPEG-4 Simple Profile up to VGA, H.264 Baseline Profile up to VGA, and WMV up to QVGA video formats. That means you can simply drag and drop these files into the Video folder if you are using Windows Media Player 11."Hopefully, that will help you get your videos in!

You have a switch to turn it on or off. If you hold the 'on' switch for about 20 seconds, this will force the Sansa to turn off. It is like rebooting a computer. Then, turn it on again, and hopefully your player will be back to normal.
The battery is losing its charge faster than it
Rechargeable batteries will lose their ability to hold a charge over time, yes. It depends upon how often it is charged, how long it is left on the charger, and how often it is used, but eventually they will all run out. Some portable media devices have removable batteries that could be replaced, although many do not. I would consult the owner's manual. If the battery can be replaced, it should be fairly cheap. (Around $20 I would expect).
My 16 gb sansa just
Check under My Computer in Windows and see if you see the Sansa player. It might show up as a generic storage device under letter G:, H: ect similar to the way a usb thumb drive would show up.
