If
your mobile is not an CDMA mobile , you can get the network unlock

department.It is free of cost.
The restriction code can be got
from your old service provider..This restriction code is kept to prevent
someone who stole the mobile from using it with another provider...
They will have a security check done with your date of birth etc..to verify whether you are the exact owner of the phone..
After that they will provide you the restriction code to unlock it and use it with another service provider..
Do not pay anyone for this seeing some advertisement over internet . That is all fake ads.
The above procedure works and you can verify that by seeing the rating of an happy customer here..

I have an active nextel i710 and want to move sim
Remove the battery from the phone. Let it remain out of the phone for 10 minutes with the phone off. Replace the battery and turn the phone on.
This is a problem with the phone trying to read the SIM card after being in another phone. Be patient. It may take several minutes for the phone to read the SIM.

Turn the phone off. Take the battery out. Let it stand without the battery for 10 minutes. Install the battery and turn on the phone.

I855 text messaging
If this your motorola i855e is a Nextel phone, then not all the features will work very well if you put in a Boost Mobile sim card. Features like Texting, Web browsing are not likely to function very well or at all. Get a Boost phone for a Boost sim card. Cheers.

Can not get into camera, ring tones or media center...
Try a soft reset:
Take the battery out of the back of the device and wait 30 seconds before replacing battery. Boot up device and try to access your applications again.
If you are still experiencing problems, I would recommend contacting your pre-paid service for further troubleshoot.
Thanks.

Motorola i855 authentication error on java apps
Hello, first you need a usb cable. You have to go to motorola.com/iden and download the apps for i855. On the motorola site, download the usb software for your operating system. If you have windows vista as I have, you have to right clilck on the download apps utility and check to use windows xp service pack 2. Thats all I did and it worked. Then go in apps on the phone and download it and go to the factory presets and download. When you download the apps, you will have two in your folder. After you finish, delete the one thats not being used as its using up memory. Pebbles

Mortorola i855 Text messaging probs
I've had this phone for about 5 months and it STILL screws up, not only on this, but also on VIP, Boost Prepaid Premium, etc. I had to send my first phone back.
I'd strongly suggest returning it to the store and buying something else if you can! I haven't been happy with either Boost Mobile OR Motorola!
