Installing wireless g router on macs

Router setup
You do not have to use the cd.
Shutdown your Mac. Unplug the power from the router and the cable modem.
Wait 30 sec. then plug in the power to the cable modem, wait 30 sec. then plug the power to the router. Wait till you have "Internet" light then restart your Mac. The Mac should pick up an IP address and you should be able to get on-line. This is if you have a cable service provider.

After you get the Internet to work via the Lan (wired to the Mac) you can disconnect the network cable and use the Aiport to go wireless.

Where can I find the

In order to get your router back to the original settings, you must push in the reset button (usually on the back of the router) for somewhere between 10 and 30 seconds depending on the router. You may need a pin or something small to push in the button, because it can be recessed. Once you have reset the router, the username and password will be changed to the defaults, admin and password, respectively. One thing you must remember is that resetting the router will change all of the router settings back to the factory settings. This means you will lose all of the changes you made since you got the router. Make sure to write down any things you've changed, so you can change them back after the reset. Also, I recommend updating to the latest firmware after the reset.

I can not find the

hi. I think I can help you with this.
First, make sure internet is directly connected to the router with a lan cable from the cable modem.

Next, connect your laptop to the router's lan ports with a lan cable, instead of attempting to connect to it wireless-ly.

Next, open a browser, and go to this address: 192.168.2.1

Next, if you didn't assign a username and password, when it asks for them, leave them blank, and press enter

If you have already given it a username and password, use them to log into the router.

Then, go into security setting and select a security level...i.e. wep, wpa, and so on, and give it whatever you want to have for those, but make sure you write them down, as you will need them to log into the internet, as well as logging into the router page.

After you do everything you need on settings, click the save button if there is one.

If not, then click log-out

Next, disconnect the wire from the router to your laptop, and unplug both modem and router.

Next, plug in modem first, and wait 45 seconds for it to initialize, and then power up the router.

Within about 30 seconds or so, it should initialize, and be ready for you to use it.

Thenlog on to that internet connection, and enter the username and password that you gave the connection, and you should be good to go.

Hello,
if you mean that you forgot the WEP, you can log in to the administration page of the router by connecting directly with an ethernet cable and change it.
If you are talking about the administration page password, you can press the reset button of the router and then you will be able to log in with the default password. See your manual for more details about doing this.

There is no way to retrieve it but you can do a hardware reset of the router which will take it back to factory defaults and allow you to set it up again.
Unplug it and look for a reset button these are generally recessed in so will need a pen to push them in.
