Garmin Forerunner 50 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
My garmin footpod stopped working
The battery lid contains the positive contacts. There are three little copper teeth grouped together. One of them needs to align with a single copper contact on the pod when the lid is back on and the little dot on the lid aligns with the little dot on the pod. This whole positive contact is stuck to the lid with adhesive and it must have turned out of alignment when I changed the battery. Gently pull it out, align as described, and stick it back in. Bingo.

Garmin fr60 footpod
Read this BEFORE you buy a new Garmin footpod because of non-detection issues after replacing batttery. My battery died and after changing it with a new one I've not been able to detect the footpod with my 910xt until now. I notice that in the cap or lid of the footpod where the battery sits before closing it sits a white piece with contacts for the battery. I had inadvertently taken this out when replacing the battery, which is fine BUT you have to put it back in a certain position. If you look very closely at the cap where the battery sits you will notice there are tiny grooves where the contacts should sit into. As soon as I line these up with the white contact piece, voila! Footpod was immediately detected. Try it if you are having issues after replacing a new battery.

How do I set my pod 535 watch after I have changed
Just tried this procedure to replace a watch battery in a POD 535 and did not work...my version of the watch might be different, all I am saying is it did not work with my watch. The procedure that worked with my watchWhen you have replaced the battery reset the watch by placing a small screw driver across the two recessed contact next to the lower battery clip. The digital display will reset and you will see four zero's flashing...if not press the winder button once, or reset the watch again. This process is to get all the hands at twelve O clock position...press and hold the top right hand button and the hands will start revolving...you can let go of the button once the hand are moving. Pressing the top button again will stop the hands and a short press will move the hands in small increments. Once the hands get close to 12 press then press the button once and then press the same button in short pulses to align all the hands on the 12 position. Wait a short time and the watch will find the time signal and both the digital display and hands will be aligned and showing the correct time.

Battery Life: I have had my Garmin Forerunner 50
There is a fault with Forerunner 50's - I replaced my battery three weeks ago, after three months of average use. It posted the "LoBatt" sign again the following day. Garmin offered to replace it with an overhauled product but I've gone for a refund instead.

My watch to my garmin forerunner 50 started
I have read the instructions for your watch and I found nothing in there that was helpful.
I am having a guess here but perhaps the memory is full (did you see the "Lo mem" warning?
Try downloading the memory to your computer if you can with a blank screen!
As a last resort, go to theri web site and find the "contact us " phone number and ask the maker.

I have only had my carmin forerunner 50 for 4
Take your watch to your nearest watch shop and ask them to do it for
you.
You can get into difficulty replacing batteries and it is
not worth the risk for the small cost saving.

Can i set the f50 to beep after each mile i run?
Yes. When in Train mode, press and hold start/stop to enter the settings mode and press the View button until "Auto" appears to turn on AutoLap, then set the distance to 1.00. your watch will beep at every mile and automatically record each mile split for you. ... its one of my favorite features!
